Experts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also said that from early morning of November 5 to early morning of November 7, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 100-300mm, locally over 500mm; warning of the risk of localized heavy rain over 150mm/6 hours.
During the day and night of November 5, the Thanh Hoa-Nghe An area will have moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places experiencing very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 50-120mm, and in some places over 170mm.
The South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, some places over 60mm (rainy season is concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
Warning, on the day and night of November 7, the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 50-80mm, some places over 150mm; especially the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have common rainfall of 100-150mm, locally over 250mm.
Heavy rain in the Central provinces is likely to last until around November 8, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The risk of natural disasters due to heavy rain, tornadoes and lightning is level 1, and level 2 in the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai.
At sea, at Bach Long Vi station, there are strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. In the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri-Ninh Thuan, Ca Mau-Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.
