The collaboration between Anh Tho and Vu Thang Loi received enthusiastic response from the audience in the live show "Homeland" on the evening of December 22 in Hanoi. The two singers showed their harmony when singing about the rivers of their hometown. Anh Tho's childhood was closely associated with the Ma River while Vu Thang Loi's memories were immersed in the Lam River of Nghe An.
Admiring her senior's sweet voice, Vu Thang Loi invited Anh Tho to join his live show as a guest. Anh Tho's emotional yet technical voice helped her and Vu Thang Loi's duet "My hometown river - My hometown river" blend very well. With the song "Country river song", Anh Tho also showed off her sweet voice.
In his musical space, Thang Loi sings with great affection about rivers, making listeners feel overwhelmed with emotion... MC Le Anh leads the story, saying that perhaps there has never been a music live show where the audience has enjoyed as many songs in which rivers appear as in Vu Thang Loi's "Homeland" live show.
From the main singer to the guest singers Anh Tho, Bui Le Man, Nguyen Ha, all sang songs associated with rivers stretching from North to South, such as: "Khuc hat song song que", "Dong song que anh, dong song que em", "Hon song", "Tim em cau vi song Lam", "Neo dau ben que", "Anh o dau song em cuoi song", "Hue thuong", "Tinh dat doi mien Dong", "Len ngan"
Vu Thang Loi confided that he hopes that the rivers that connect the source will continue to flow, and will also be cool streams of water that nourish the soul of every Vietnamese child, nurturing their childhood until adulthood.
Not only the rivers of the countryside, Vu Thang Loi takes the audience through the musical space stretching across the countryside from the North, through the Central region to the Southern homeland with deep, gentle melodies, but also sometimes exciting and heroic. There are also times when Vu Thang Loi surprises the audience when singing "Ai cung co ngay xua" by Phan Manh Quynh. This is the song Thang Loi sings with the "challenging" lyrics of director Cao Trung Hieu, through the arrangement of musician Hong Kien.
However, Vu Thang Loi's performance of the song "Doi Chan Bare" - composed by Y Phon Kso - left the most impression on the audience. Vu Thang Loi said that he sang this song for the first time on December 22 with the desire to show gratitude to his father - a soldier who had instilled in Vu Thang Loi a love for his homeland as well as his military career.
In the latter part of the live show, Vu Thang Loi - the singing soldier - brought the audience into a heroic revolutionary music space and received enthusiastic applause. Thang Loi was sometimes sweet, passionate, and sentimental in "Mother's Heart", sometimes heroic and proud in "On the top of Truong Son we sing".
An interesting unknown in Vu Thang Loi's "Homeland" live show is singer Nguyen Ha. This is also the voice that makes the production crew as well as the audience a bit "afraid", because mentioning the voices of singers Anh Tho or Bui Le Man will be easy to understand because of the harmony with Thang Loi's musical path, but Nguyen Ha is different.
Nguyen Ha sent her thanks to the male singer who invited her from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi so that she could confidently sing revolutionary music. Creating connections, guiding and motivating the female singer to learn more about this music genre. During the music night of gratitude of artist - soldier Vu Thang Loi, Nguyen Ha also sent her best wishes to her mother - a female soldier, as well as best wishes and happiness to all Uncle Ho's soldiers.
