During the month of July, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs coordinated with a number of units and businesses to organize many meaningful and practical activities for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (VNAH), relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution. The deep affection and care have partly compensated for the losses and sacrifices of relatives and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Every year, in July, Dr. Chu Hong Dang, Director of Tien Loc High-Quality Healthcare Center (Hanoi) always spends a lot of time to carry out meaningful tasks to show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution. During the journey back to the source in July this year, with the connection of the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, Dr. Dang and his colleagues coordinated with Tam An Healthcare Center (Ninh Binh) to organize a program to examine and give free medicine to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, relatives of martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution.
Doctor Dang confided that he was originally from Ninh Binh, but followed his family to settle down in Ha Giang since he was young. Growing up, following the call of the Fatherland, Doctor Dang joined the battle at the Vi Xuyen front. "I was luckier than many generations of my fathers and comrades to return when the country was at peace. Therefore, throughout my journey, I have always devoted myself to carrying out activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers. Including many trips to examine and give free medicine to people with meritorious services in many localities across the country. And today, it is very touching that I am able to return to my hometown to carry out this practical work. During today's examination, I was very moved to directly examine Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ngo. She is over 100 years old, still clear-headed and agile. Heroic Mothers who can walk like Mother Ngo are very rare now" - Doctor Dang was moved.
Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Ngo is from Van Phong commune (Nho Quan district). Ngo's mother has two sons who are martyrs. Ngo's mother said that over the years, she has received attention and care from the Party Committee, the government, organizations and the whole community. Therefore, her material and spiritual life is stable, she lives peacefully with her children and grandchildren. When her daughter-in-law took her for a health check-up at the invitation of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, Ngo's mother was very happy. She said that it has been a long time since she has been so far away, her hometown is now so rich and beautiful. This time when she returns, she will eat and rest according to the doctor's advice to maintain good health, to live long and happily with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
No longer healthy enough to go to the hospital for examination like Ngo's mother, Cao Thi Hoi's mother in Ninh Khang commune (Hoa Lu) was examined, consulted and given medicine by doctors from Tam An Health Care Center (Ninh Binh city). Hoi's two sons died and their remains have not been found yet. Hoi's mother has been waiting for her children for many years, until now, when her health is poor and her memory is not complete. Currently, she lives with her youngest son, Nguyen Duy Luan. Luan shared: When the doctors came to visit her, gave her medicine and gifts, she and I were very happy and moved. Over the years, my family has received deep affection and practical care from the province, agencies, units and the whole community. My two brothers are still on the battlefield, but my mother still has the love, care and attention of many other children. This is the motivation and comfort for my mother to live peacefully for the rest of her life.
Medical examination, health consultation and free medicine for heroic mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution are among the meaningful activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day organized by the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in coordination with a number of units. At the program, more than 50 heroic mothers, relatives of martyrs, and heroic mothers were examined, given general health check-ups, physical therapy, and advice on health care, prevention of some common diseases, and received free medicine and functional products to help improve nutritional status by doctors and nurses of Tam An Health Care Center and Tien Loc High-Quality Health Care Center (Hanoi). The units and enterprises: Thanh Cong Ninh Binh Automobile Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Global Insurance Company; SGROUP Ninh Binh English Center; and representatives of the Law Newspaper in Ninh Binh also presented 50 gifts to heroic mothers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution. The total cash value of the program's activities is about 80 million VND.
Directly accompanying and participating in this meaningful program, Mr. Do Hoang Anh, Director of Thanh Cong Auto Joint Stock Company said: In recent years, in addition to efforts to promote production and business, the Company has always paid special attention to activities to contribute to ensuring social security in the area. In particular, the activity "Repaying gratitude" has become a movement that attracts strong response and participation from officers and workers in the Company. Not only visiting and giving gifts to families of people with revolutionary contributions on holidays, Tet, and War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the Company also has policies to accept children of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions to work.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Hieu, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, shared: Over the years, the Association has coordinated with local authorities, businesses, schools, and philanthropists to organize many meaningful and practical activities to show gratitude to families of martyrs such as: medical examination, free medicine, and gifts to express gratitude to VNAH Mothers and families of martyrs in difficult circumstances on July 27 and Lunar New Year. In addition, we also coordinate to repair houses for families of martyrs with housing difficulties; give scholarships to students in difficult circumstances who are children of policy beneficiaries... In particular, caring for and visiting VNAH Mothers is a very meaningful activity that has been carried out by the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs for many years.
Up to now, the whole province has only 17 VNAH mothers still alive, all of them are like ripe bananas. Therefore, the Association has actively coordinated to carry out many practical activities so that the mothers can live the happiest and most joyful days. Medical examination, health consultation, free medicine and gifts for people with meritorious services are activities with many practical meanings, and will continue to be regularly implemented by the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in coordination with Health Care Centers in the coming time.
