In the atmosphere where the whole country is striving to achieve excellent results to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, we returned to the place where the first Party cell of Thanh Hoa province was established to feel the joy, excitement and pride spreading throughout Ham Ha street.

With each step on each relic site, the glorious history of Ham Ha is clearly recreated. In 1929, some bases of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association were attacked, but the active members who escaped the enemy's pursuit persisted in their activities. At this time, comrade Le Cong Thanh (from Mao Xa village, Thieu Toan commune, Thieu Hoa district) - after escaping to the North, participated in the "proletarianization" movement and was admitted to the Party in Bac Ky. Through comrade Le Cong Thanh, the Bac Ky Regional Party Committee grasped the revolutionary situation in Thanh Hoa. In order to build a core force for the revolutionary movement, in April 1930, the Bac Ky Regional Party Committee assigned comrade Le Cong Thanh the task of directing the establishment of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

After studying and understanding the situation, comrade Le Cong Thanh sent comrade Nguyen Doan Chap, Hoang Giang commune (Hoang Hoa) directly to Thanh Hoa to promote the development of the Party's grassroots organization. Comrade Nguyen Doan Chap went to Ham Ha village to contact members of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in Ham Ha and admitted three comrades Le Ba Tung, Le Oanh Kieu, and Le The Long into the Communist Party. After a period of careful preparation, on June 25, 1930, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Doan Chap, the conference to establish Ham Ha Party cell - the first Party cell of Thanh Hoa province took place at Mr. Le Oanh Kieu's house. Comrade Le The Long was elected as the secretary of Ham Ha Party cell.
Immediately after its establishment, the Ham Ha Party cell raised the flag of revolutionary leadership, especially under the leadership of the cell, the "Red Farmers' Association" organization was also established in Ham Ha and from Ham Ha it spread widely throughout the localities. The establishment of the Ham Ha Party cell was an important turning point, opening a new page in the history of the revolutionary movement in Dong Son district in particular, Thanh Hoa province in general, contributing significantly to the establishment of other Party cells in the province. From 3 small "sparks" of Ham Ha (Dong Son), Phuc Loc (Thieu Hoa) and Yen Truong (Yen Dinh) Party cells, on July 29, 1930, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee was established at the house of comrade Le Van Sy - Secretary of Yen Truong Party cell. Comrade Le The Long - Secretary of Ham Ha Party cell was elected to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary and was the first Provincial Party Secretary of Thanh Hoa province.
In front of the communal house yard there is a banyan tree and a well, creating a harmonious and peaceful space.
To preserve, protect and promote the outstanding historical and cultural values, in 1994, Ham Ha communal house was recognized as a national historical relic cluster, including 3 relic sites: Ham Ha communal house - a place to shelter and protect revolutionary soldiers during the war; Mr. Le Oanh Kieu's house - where Ham Ha Party cell was established and Mr. Pham Van Huong's house - where the "Tien Len" newspaper was published - the first mouthpiece of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. By 2000, Ham Ha communal house historical relic cluster was renovated with a total investment of more than 44.7 billion VND, including: communal house area, guest house, village well area, Mr. Le Oanh Kieu's house, Mr. Pham Van Huong's house and Ham Ha road was expanded, creating a clean and airy landscape.

The historical relic cluster of Ham Ha communal house has been restored and embellished as a gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Hoa province to the previous generations. Over the past 95 years, Ham Ha has always been a source of pride for the cadres, party members and people here to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, building Ham Ha into a model neighborhood in 2020. From the first party cell of the province, up to now, Ham Ha party cell has had 105 party members.
In a conversation with us, Mr. Pham Van Sinh, Party cell secretary and head of Ham Ha residential group, did not forget to mention the story of 6 households having to relocate and resettle to a new location to hand over the land to build the Ham Ha communal house grounds and 126 households donating 3,360m2 of land and demolishing many constructions on the land to expand Ham Ha road. “The pride of being born and raised in the revolutionary homeland of Ham Ha is the great motivation that helps people agree to relocate and donate land to expand the beautiful Ham Ha historical relic complex as it is today. We determine that the successful construction of a model street is a journey that has only a starting point and no end point. Continuing that journey with higher orientations, Ham Ha residential group strives to become a land of urban, civilized and modern development after Rung Thong town becomes Rung Thong ward and merges into Thanh Hoa city", said Mr. Pham Van Sinh, Party cell secretary, head of Ham Ha residential group.
Promoting revolutionary tradition, Ham Ha people donated land to expand a spacious and clean road.
Towards the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and preparing to welcome the spring of At Ty 2025, Ham Ha communal house historical relic became more bustling when many cadres, party members, and people came to offer incense, express their respect and gratitude to their predecessors, loyal communist soldiers, heroic martyrs, and many generations of comrades and compatriots who have devoted themselves to their homeland and country, so that they have more motivation to build Ham Ha to become more prosperous and civilized.
