In the first 6 months of 2024, Saigon Tourist Group welcomed and served over 923,000 visitors, with total revenue reaching over VND 7,770 billion, an increase of 6.2% over the same period in 2022.
On June 28, Saigontourist Group held a preliminary review of business activities in the first 6 months of the year and proposed a plan to carry out business tasks in the remaining 6 months of 2024.
In the first 6 months of the year, Saigontourist Group organized many events to attract domestic and international tourists. Notably, the 21st Nguyen Hue Flower Street on the occasion of the Year of the Dragon attracted a total of 1.2 million direct visitors. Along with that was the Saigontourist Group 2024 Food and Culture Festival, attracting more than 60,000 domestic and international visitors and overseas Vietnamese.

Saigontourist Group has also pioneered in participating, sponsoring and supporting major events taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and many other localities. In addition, it has actively coordinated with units participating in promoting Vietnamese tourism internationally. In addition, Saigontourist Group continues to implement regional tourism linkage programs and cooperate with localities. According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, Saigontourist Group's business results in the first 6 months of 2024 showed an improvement in all important indicators such as number of visitors, revenue and profit. Growth was recorded in all types of accommodation, travel, culinary, entertainment, conference and seminar services... Business efficiency was improved thanks to increased revenue and reasonable cost control. "The above business results are the efforts of the group's leadership, officers and employees, continuing the strong recovery process after a period of serious impact from the Covid-19 pandemic," said Mr. Pham Huy Binh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, highly appreciated the efforts of the leadership and all employees of Saigontourist Group. "Saigontourist Group has overcome difficulties and challenges and achieved important results to continue to accompany the development of Vietnam's tourism industry," Mr. Phuc emphasized. The leaders of the Department of Tourism requested the company to continue to promote tourism promotion, brand building, development, and protection, along with domestic and international marketing and promotion programs. In 2024, Saigontourist Group set a target of serving over 2 million visitors, total revenue of over VND 16,500 billion and total gross profit of over VND 4,330 billion, and total budget contribution of VND 3,450 billion. According to the leaders of Saigontourist Group, the last 6 months of the year is the "sprint" peak season, the unit continues to proactively develop business scenarios to promptly and flexibly respond to market developments; Direct units to focus on developing new products and services to meet customer needs and market trends; prioritize the development of green product lines, sustainable development... to achieve and exceed set targets.
