50 candidates compete at the first Mekong Delta Tour Guide Competition

This is an activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025) and towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The contest aims to honor the tour guide profession; create a useful playground for tour guides in the Mekong Delta region to have the opportunity to meet, exchange, learn and share knowledge, skills and professional experience. At the same time, the event also contributes to introducing and promoting the image of Mekong Delta tourism, improving the quality and standardizing the region's tourism human resources.

This year's contest has 50 contestants from travel agencies, tourism businesses, and destinations in the Mekong Delta region. The contestants have 2 rounds of competition on March 26 and 27. The preliminary round includes competitions on professional knowledge, presentation skills, and handling situations set by the judges. 11 contestants will enter the final round with competitions on video narration and tour guide talent.

The final round and awards ceremony took place on the afternoon of March 27.
