On March 18, in Ngam La commune, Yen Minh district, Ha Giang province, the Vietnam Children's Fund (Ministry of Health) coordinated with the People's Committee of Ngam La commune and the Vietnam National Petroleum Group to organize a ceremony to attach a signboard to the library and give gifts to disadvantaged children at Ngam La Primary Boarding School.
The project to build and purchase library equipment for students of Ngam La Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities was funded by the Vietnam Children's Fund , mobilizing the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, with a total cost of 400 million VND.
Construction began in September 2024 and the library project has been completed and put into use since February 2025. The Vietnam National Petroleum Group is a sponsor that has accompanied the Vietnam Children's Fund for many years in activities to support children in difficult circumstances, especially supporting the library.
From 2021 to present, through the Vietnam Children's Support Fund, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group has sponsored nearly 2.5 billion VND to support libraries for disadvantaged children in 4 provinces of Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang and Thanh Hoa.
Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund Dinh Tien Hai shared that he hopes the school will effectively exploit the library, maintain it and continue to add a variety of books so that students here will have more joy, learn more useful things, improve their knowledge, and contribute to forming and developing a reading culture for them from the earliest levels of education.

At the ceremony to put up the library's signboard, Vietnam National Petroleum Group also presented some gifts to students of Ngam La Primary Boarding School.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Children's Fund mobilized Huong Viet Sinh Company Limited to donate 447 long-sleeved shirts to all students of the school with a total value of nearly 420 million VND.
Ngam La is a commune in Yen Minh district, Ha Giang province, with an area of 55.83 km², population in 2019 is 3,762 people, population density is 67 people/km².
Currently, Ngam La commune still has many degraded schools, lacking educational facilities, especially the school library system. Local leaders hope to continue to receive attention from authorities at all levels and support from philanthropists, so that all schools in the area have libraries that meet the prescribed standards.
