From March 25 to 27, the Ministry of Education and Training organized an exam to select the national team to compete in the 2025 International and Regional Olympics. This year's exam had the participation of 187 candidates from provinces and cities across the country, with 5 subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics.
As a result, 6 candidates in mathematics were selected to compete in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
Physics has 8 candidates selected to compete in the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO):
Chemistry has 4 candidates selected to compete in the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO):
Biology has 4 candidates selected to compete in the International Biology Olympiad (IBIO):
In the IT subject, 15 candidates were selected to participate in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO). The exam results were announced during the exam process. Accordingly, candidates knew the results from March 27.
The national team selection exam for international and regional Olympic competitions is held to discover and nurture young talents, representing Vietnam in international competitions. The achievements of the candidates not only affirm the quality of Vietnam's leading education but also create motivation for the movement of studying and scientific research among students nationwide.
The Ministry of Education and Training said it will continue to coordinate with relevant units to organize intensive review and training activities to help students best prepare for upcoming international and regional Olympic competitions.
