34 outstanding works won the prize of the Photo and Video Contest 'Happy Vietnam 2024'

In his opening speech, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" was launched nationwide.

More than 10,000 stories about the peaceful, beautiful and happy Vietnam have been recorded by the authors in pictures and videos. From the mountains to the cities, from the mainland to the islands, from familiar things to heroic moments of the nation.

In 2023, the first time the contest was held, it attracted more than 7,000 entries, this year it increased to more than 10,300 entries by 6,900 authors, including 600 foreign authors and 270 overseas Vietnamese authors. On the Vietnam.vn platform, there have been more than 90 million visits, of which over 35% were from abroad. After many days of serious and impartial work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 videos and 150 photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded prizes.

According to the Organizing Committee, many works were presented with a new, objective perspective on life, society and the development of the country and people of Vietnam, conveying the message of a happy, civilized and powerful Vietnam. Many works recreated the creative journey of the authors associated with the flow of life, connecting with the people they met and came into contact with.

The authors come from different professions, ages, ethnicities, languages ​​and use different devices, but all represent a peaceful, beautiful, dynamically developing Vietnam and a happy country.

“The contest is a testament to the patriotism and passion of people across the country in promoting the image of the country, its people, and its beautiful cultural traditions to the international community,” Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized.

At the same time, the Contest also shows new trends in social media work, based on the application of digital technology, digital platforms and mobilizing the strength of the entire population to develop digital data to serve effective information and propaganda work.

According to the World Happiness Report 2024 released on March 20, 2024, Vietnam is among the top 10 happiest countries and territories in Asia. Vietnam holds the 54th position globally, up 11 places compared to 2023.

– The work “Sweet Happiness” by author Vu Dieu Hoa (Hanoi) won the Gold Medal.
– The work “Racing” on the construction site of the 500kV line circuit 3″ by author Tran Huy Hung (Nam Dinh) won the Silver Medal.
– The work “Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte cycling around Hanoi” by author Duong Van Giang (Hanoi) won the Silver Medal.
Video Award Winning Entries:
– The work “Gia Lai epic land” by author Nguyen Van Hoan (Gia Lai) won the Gold Medal.
– The work “Leng keng di het – For a happy Vietnam” by the group of authors Tue Giang, Khanh An, Dieu Huong, Nhat Anh (Ha Giang) won the Silver Medal.
– The work “A Tale of Phu Quoc” by author Dau Van Duy (Kien Giang) won the Silver Medal.
