As part of the series of activities of the provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival (March 21), on the evening of March 19, at October 14 Square, the lion dance and traditional martial arts competition of the province took place.

The organizers praised the athletes' competitive spirit.

The tournament attracted 200 athletes from 12 strong lion dance and traditional martial arts clubs in the province. The athletes brought to the audience special performances such as: drum dance, lion dance, pole climbing lion dance, four seasons dragon dance... The lion dance and traditional martial arts performances brought eye-catching performances. A large audience watched and cheered on the athletes and clubs participating in the competition.

200 athletes from 12 strong clubs in the province participated in the tournament.

Nowadays, lion dance has become a familiar street folk art that many people love, practice and perform. The lion dance custom brings wishes for peace, happiness, luck and prosperity. Lion dance is not only a cultural activity with many meanings but also a sport that requires artistry, good health and dexterity.

The 2024 provincial lion dance and traditional martial arts competition is held to contribute to preserving and promoting the unique cultural and sports traditions of Thai Binh province.
