Many parents also expressed concern that food of unknown origin in front of the school gate could potentially affect students’ health. Especially street vendors selling all kinds of items such as sausages, fried skewers, candy packages, green and red drinks… attract students.

As Tien Phong reported, at around 1:20 p.m. on September 30, at the school gate, a group of strangers distributed free BONCHA Honey Tea with peach oolong flavor to students of Binh Minh Secondary School, Binh Minh Commune, Thanh Oai District, Hanoi. After that, 263 students drank the product.

On October 1, 13 students were taken to Thanh Oai General Hospital for health monitoring due to symptoms of headache, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. After examination, the doctor diagnosed food poisoning.

The local interdisciplinary inspection team collected the water bottles used by the students, including: BONCHA honey tea with peach oolong flavor and C2 water with pink guava and passion fruit flavor.

The district's interdisciplinary inspection team sealed and handed over to Thanh Oai District Police and took two samples of the above products to send to the Testing Institute for testing, but so far there have been no results.
