Accordingly, the Departments of Education and Training will update the enrollment plans for grades 1 and 6 in their localities on the city's enrollment page at: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn. The update period is from April 20 to May 23, 2025.

Admission timelines for grades 1 and 6

From May 24 to 29: The Department of Education and Training organizes for parents to register for admission to grades 1 and 6 at schools with special programs, including:

The school implements high-quality, advanced, regionally and internationally integrated program content;

The school implements integrated English training program according to project 5695;

The school implements a French language enhancement program;

Nam Saigon Primary, Secondary and High School (grades 1 and 6) and other schools with special models in the education system.

From May 30 to June 4: The Department of Education and Training reviews and announces the enrollment results of schools with special programs. At the same time, synchronizes data to the city's primary enrollment page.

From June 5 to 8: The school will organize a special program to receive applications and guide parents to confirm online at the city's admissions page.

From June 9 to 13: Based on the number of students applying to schools organizing special programs, the Department of Education and Training will allocate students to the remaining primary and secondary schools.

From June 14 to 20: Parents confirm to submit applications to the remaining high schools according to data updated by the Department of Education and Training on the city's admissions page.

During this time, parents can also register as subject 2 or private school.

From June 21 to 25: The Department of Education and Training will consider students who registered for category 2 and update data on the city's enrollment page.

From June 25 to 29: Parents access the primary school admission system to view the results of group 2 and confirm admission. Schools organize to receive candidates admitted to group 2.

Two admission subjects

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has stipulated that there are 2 groups of candidates for admission to grades 1 and 6. Specifically as follows:

Subject 1: Priority admission for the following cases:

For grade 1: Students have "current residence" within the area and are within the prescribed age.

For grade 6: Students have a "current residence" in the area, have completed primary school and are within the prescribed age.

Subject 2: Students who wish to study in an area other than their actual residence.

In which, priority can be considered for admission according to the order of specific cases of each region such as:

Students who have completed preschool or primary school in the area; Students whose father or mother works in the area (industrial parks, agencies, organizations located in the area); Students whose "current residence" according to VNeID is in the border areas between districts, towns and Thu Duc city; Students who have transferred provinces; Students in special cases of the locality.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the regulation of two subjects for primary school admission is to facilitate parents in picking up and dropping off their children. At the same time, it also provides additional students for localities with low numbers of children of admission age due to regional characteristics.
