Previously, at around 7:30 p.m. on September 15, Xin Man District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for 300 students. After eating for 15 minutes, many students had symptoms of nausea, headaches, and stomachaches.

At 10:45 p.m. the same day, the teachers took the children to the hospital for examination, diagnosed with food poisoning, and given IV fluids, induced vomiting, treated for symptoms of nausea and anxiety, and ordered tests.

According to Xin Man District Medical Center, a total of 55 children were hospitalized at Xin Man District General Hospital. After 8 hours of hospitalization, the patients' health condition was basically stable, they were alert, had less stomach pain and were more comfortable.

The source said that the menu for the Mid-Autumn Festival meal of the students at the Xin Man District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities included lemon tea, kumquat, apple, pear, watermelon and pineapple; moon cakes; candy; and milk. The cause of the incident is being clarified by local authorities.

A series of students were poisoned by suspected milk tea . After drinking milk tea, 21 students of class 7/1 at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School (Gia Lai) had stomachaches, dizziness, and vomiting, suspected of poisoning.
