Accordingly, 216 students participated in activities at 6 experiential corners including: "History of my city", "What do you know about the city's geography?", "City architecture - the voice of lines", "Saigon people - so much love", "Saigon cuisine - unforgettable impressions" and "City in literature" to learn about the characteristics of history, geography, architecture, cuisine, and culture of Ho Chi Minh City.

After experiencing the activities, students in grades 6-7 completed a "Mini Reading Diary", in which they answered two questions: "If you were asked to recommend the school to buy 3 more books for the library, which books would you recommend? Why?" and "What ideas or plans do you have to help students who do not like reading develop the habit of reading?"

For grades 8-9, students answer the question "What is your dream career in the future? What books are you reading now? What books will you read in the future, and why did you choose to read them?"
According to Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Bao Quoc, the "Growing up with books" contest is a playground for young people who are passionate about reading, thereby supplementing their knowledge beyond what they learn at school. Through the pages of books, children are nurtured in their souls, comprehensively developing skills and qualities appropriate to their age.
Especially through the stations of experience about history, literature, cuisine; through the requirements of the contest, students understand the process of formation and development of the city they live in, love the city more, which is preparing to enter the moment of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification day.
