Da Lat has a 131-year tradition of growing flowers and is the largest flower conservation and production center in Indochina. In addition to endemic street flowers and wild flowers that fill the mountain town with breathtaking beauty, Da Lat produces nearly 4 billion flower branches of all kinds each year, serving domestic consumption and export.
For the first time in 2004, Da Lat successfully organized the "Flower Festival", causing strong emotions for the public and tourists from all over. In 2005, the Prime Minister recognized "Da Lat - Vietnam Flower Festival City" held every two years. The first Flower Festival in 2005, with the theme "Da Lat - A rendezvous of colorful flowers" was extremely grand and impressive, attracting more than 100,000 visitors to enjoy and experience.
Success after success, since then there have been 9 Dalat Flower Festivals. Each one has its own theme and message such as: "Dalat Flowers - I love you", "Dalat - City of thousands of flowers", "Dalat - City of Flower Festival", "Tay Nguyen - Echo of the great forest", "Dalat Flowers - Miraculous crystallization from the good land"... The purpose of the Flower Festival is to honor the values of flowers, flower growers, flower businesses, attract tourism, call for investment, promote the beautiful image of Dalat, develop the brand of Dalat Flowers, Bao Loc Tea - Silk... with domestic and international friends.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors" is a cultural and tourism event at the provincial level, aiming at national and international scale. This is a cultural and tourism festival to promote the image of culture, people, and tourism of Da Lat - Lam Dong to domestic and international tourists. Continuing to affirm the brand: "Da Lat - Vietnam Flower Festival City", UNESCO's creative city of Music and Top 5 impressive Festival cities in Asia.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will take place for nearly a month (Opening on December 5, Closing on December 31). There will be 10 main programs: Opening Ceremony; Art program Welcoming the New Year 2025 and Closing Ceremony of the Flower Festival; Flower Space; International Conference "Da Lat, developing green, smart and sustainable tourism"; Art program "Bao Loc City - Tea scent - Silk color"; Exhibition to promote trade of OCOP products; Wine - Tea - Coffee Street and Lam Dong specialties; Vegetable - Flower Market "Da Lat is a miracle crystallization from the good land"; International cultural and artistic exchange between Korea - Da Lat; Carnaval on Flower Street and Heritage.
Response programs taking place during the year: "Dalat Fun Color" Music Festival; Lam Dong Trail 2024 Running Race; Lang Biang Pink Grass Festival; "Green - Clean - Beautiful" Competition; "5AM Concert in Da Lat" Music Program; "Prenn Trail Challenge 2024" Conquering Race; "Dalat's Brilliant Flowers" Exhibition; "Bazan Melody" Band Festival; "Dalat - Colorful Flowers" Experience Tour.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival is not only a festival for Lam Dong people, but also a meeting place for tourists from all over the world to experience the unique cultural and tourism values of Da Lat. Through the Festival, we aim to continue to promote the style of Da Lat people "Gentle - Elegant - Hospitable" to arouse, spread, and enhance the brand and position of "Da Lat - the city of Flower Festivals of Vietnam".
