Do a good job of propaganda
Through the revolutionary periods, the Party's propaganda work has been gradually innovated, enhanced its combativeness, persuasiveness, forecasting and met the requirements and tasks in the cause of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and political capacity of cadres, party members and people, consolidating faith in the Party's leadership and in the cause of national renewal; continuing to encourage and arouse patriotism and national pride, creating motivation to promote the successful implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security.
Closely following the political tasks of the Propaganda sector, the Propaganda system at all levels in the city proactively advises the Party Committee to synchronously and effectively deploy propaganda tasks; continue to strongly innovate methods, creatively apply and suitably combine content, form and target audience so that propaganda activities become increasingly vivid and close to real life. The Propaganda system at all levels in the city coordinates with the political system to encourage, motivate and replicate advanced models in implementing patriotic emulation movements as well as in implementing resolutions on Party building and rectification associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
In particular, the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee actively advised the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to effectively implement propaganda activities, celebrate important political events, and outstanding achievements of the country and locality in the fields of politics, economy, culture - society, Party building, political system building, national defense - security. In addition to organizing well the monthly conference of reporters, the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee focuses on consolidating, perfecting, and improving the quality of reporters, social opinion collaborators, and science and education collaborators at all levels; strengthening information and propaganda work on modern media, actively contributing to propaganda work, ideological orientation among cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life.
Propaganda Departments at all levels continue to maintain and improve the quality of monthly security and ideology conferences; closely follow reality, proactively grasp public opinion, promptly reflect and advise on the orientation of public opinion; at the same time, widely propagate important events on politics, socio-economy, national defense - security and foreign affairs of the country and the city to cadres, party members and people, contributing to raising political awareness, creating high unity within the Party and consensus in society.
According to comrade Le Hoang Thuy Trinh, Head of the Propaganda Department of Binh Thuy District Party Committee, the Propaganda Department advises the District Party Committee to organize the study and dissemination of directives, resolutions, conclusions, regulations of the Party and resolutions, programs, plans of the city and district to cadres and Party members in a timely and quality manner; at the same time, advise, direct, orient, propagate, and disseminate to union members, association members and people of all walks of life in many appropriate, innovative, creative forms, bringing practical results, such as: organizing competitions, seminars, festivals of typical models; collecting survey opinions; propagating through regular activities, traditional activities, visual propaganda systems, grassroots information, especially propaganda on information technology applications, social networks... has created positive effects.
Resolutely fight against wrong views
In parallel with propaganda tasks, the Propaganda Department at all levels proactively researches, grasps reality, and promptly orients new emerging issues; resolutely fights against wrong viewpoints, plots, and tricks of hostile forces that distort and sabotage the Party and the State, and deviant manifestations of viewpoints, perceptions, ethics, and lifestyles among cadres, party members, and people. Typically, Vinh Thanh district has more than 90% of its population being religious. According to comrade Tran Van Tuoi, Head of the Propaganda Department of Vinh Thanh District Party Committee, the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion among all classes of people in general, and among religious people in particular, has been carried out with attention by the District Party Committee and Party committees at all levels. The Propaganda Department coordinates with relevant units to propagate and mobilize religious dignitaries, officials, and followers to participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, especially social security activities; Unite with all classes of people to build a developed homeland. The District Propaganda Department has advised the District Party Committee to continue to launch the movement of "self-reflection, self-correction", "setting an example, saying goes with doing" effectively in carrying out political tasks, building a clean and strong Party organization.
Implementing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation, the propaganda system at all levels advised the Party committees to lead, direct and organize the implementation of many solutions to improve the effectiveness of the Steering Committee 35 of localities and units. According to comrade Phan Van Thep, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda Department of the Can Tho City Party Committee, in the role of the Standing Committee of the City's Steering Committee 35, the Committee has advised on the consolidation of the Steering Committee, the Expert Group and supporting units; strengthened information, propaganda, ideological orientation, fighting against and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints; promoted the sharing of articles publicly on the Internet and social networking sites.
In 2023, the Steering Committee of 35 cities launched the first Political Contest on protecting the ideological foundation of the Party in Can Tho City. After nearly 2 months of launching, localities and units received 1,173 works. Through the selection of localities and units, the Secretariat of the City-level Contest received 791 entries from 359 authors and 43 groups of authors who are cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, students in the city. Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 63 works in the types of newspapers, magazines, audio, and images to award the Contest. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness of the role and responsibility of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers; soldiers of the armed forces; union members, association members, city people... in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, in the new situation according to Resolution 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo, making an important contribution to the work of Party building, building the political system, especially political and ideological work...
The contributions of the propaganda system at all levels in the city have helped Party committees at all levels lead and direct the implementation of propaganda work, political and ideological education for cadres and party members of localities and units, contributing to the successful completion of the political tasks of the City Party Committee. Proud of the glorious tradition of the sector over 93 years of construction and development, generations of cadres working in Can Tho Propaganda continue to promote their role, responsibility, pioneering, exemplary, worthy of being the leading shock troops on the ideological and cultural front of the Party.
