Emotional farewell ceremony for police captain who died on duty in Ha Tinh

This afternoon (November 18), at the private home of Captain Tran Trung Hieu's (32 years old) parents in Thanh Chuong residential group, Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh), hundreds of people, relatives, and comrades were present to see him off to his final resting place.

In the small house, Ha Thi Cam Tu (born in 1993, wife of Captain Tran Trung Hieu) cried, being helped by her husband's relatives and comrades in sobs. The young wife still could not accept the great loss when her husband, the father of two children, suddenly passed away, because only 2 hours before, he texted her promising to come back to buy toys for the children after finishing work.

"Before that, you texted me, promising that after finishing your mission, you would come back to buy toys for the children and plan a trip for the whole family. You also told me that you would try to build a house next year. But now, everything is still unfinished, and you left me and my children like this...", Ms. Tu cried at her husband's funeral.

Ms. Tu said that in the early afternoon of November 13, in a message sent via social media, Mr. Hieu reminded his wife that after this work period, he would take the whole family on a long trip. "There are still plastic guns to play water with Tho and Man, don't forget, Dad", Ms. Tu said. And then Captain Hieu texted back: "How can I forget, Dad will buy them tonight" - Ms. Tu remembered her husband's words and that promise forever remained in the text messages.

About 2 hours after texting her husband, Ms. Tu received the bad news that Mr. Hieu was stabbed multiple times with scissors by Tran Trong Gia Bao (26 years old), a drug dealer (American weed) at Củi market temple. She rushed to the hospital and was shocked when the doctor said her husband's prognosis was bad.

During the four days in the hospital taking care of her husband, Ms. Tu said it was the longest and most difficult time of her life. When he was anemic, she posted information online and immediately received hundreds of shares of support, even though AB is a rare blood type. Although he had enough blood, the doctor predicted that his health condition was very bad. She thought that all the efforts of her, her teammates, and relatives would keep him alive, but unexpectedly... her husband was forever dead at the age of 32.

This afternoon, Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong, Director of Ha Tinh Provincial Police, along with representatives of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Police; the leadership of Nghi Xuan District Police; local Party committees, authorities and officers and soldiers were also present to hold a farewell ceremony for Captain Tran Trung Hieu.

Burning incense in memory, the officers, soldiers, and comrades of Captain Hieu also wrote emotional farewells. In the condolence book, Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong wrote: "When I received the news that you had returned to your ancestors, I, like thousands of officers and soldiers, was shocked and no one believed it was true.

Now, I can only say thank you: Thank you to my parents and my hometown Nghi Xuan for giving birth to me - Captain Tran Trung Hieu, loyal to the Party and filial to the people. Thank you for your dedication, your efforts, and your sacrifice for the peace and happiness of the people... I promise you, my young comrade, the officers and soldiers of Ha Tinh Provincial Police, that we will strive to push drug criminals out of society, so that your sacrifice will be more meaningful, for the peaceful life of the people."

At the memorial service, hundreds of officers, soldiers and people expressed their condolences for the brave actions and noble sacrifice of Captain Tran Trung Hieu, as well as his efforts during his years working in the police force.

The hearse carried the body of Captain Tran Trung Hieu to the burial at A Bach cemetery, Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh).
