On July 20, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate said that from July 12-14, many dental clinics and individuals were fined for violations in medical examination and treatment activities.
Specifically, DJ International Dental Company Limited (at 132 3/2 Street, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) was fined 90 million VND and suspended for 18 months for providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license.
In addition, Mr. Bui Van Duan - Director of DJ International Dental Company Limited was fined 43 million for examining and treating patients without a practicing certificate. In addition to the fine, he was also forced to return the illegal profit of 8 million VND obtained from committing the violation.
Two employees of this clinic, Mr. Vu Huu Thanh and Mr. Tran Huu Nhan, were also fined VND35.2 million and VND36.5 million respectively for examining and treating patients without being granted a practice certificate.
The Health Department Inspectorate also fined HELIA Dental and Aesthetics Company Limited (Specialized Dental Clinic) at No. 3, Tran Thien Chanh, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, 4 million VND for listing the names of departments and rooms in the medical examination and treatment facility inconsistently with the medical examination and treatment license issued by the competent authority.
In addition, Ms. Hoang Thi Hai Ha (nurse) was also fined 35 million VND for examining and treating patients beyond the scope of professional activities stated in her medical examination and treatment practice certificate, except in emergency cases and cases of performing additional professional techniques permitted under the provisions of law. The right to use the medical examination and treatment practice certificate was revoked for a period of 23 months.
The Health Department Inspectorate also fined Mr. Nguyen Chien, the owner of the beauty salon at 2/2A Tang Bat Ho, Ward 11, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, VND40 million for providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license. The facility was also suspended from medical examination and treatment activities for 12 months.
