Night of Dreams
On the evening of November 21, the atmosphere in Thong Nhat Stadium was more exciting than ever, with nearly 16,000 fans eagerly awaiting Westlife's first show - The Wild Dreams Tour in Vietnam.
By 7pm, all the seats in the stadium were filled with spectators. When the lights went out, the entire stadium was lit up in a prosperous green by thousands of LED bars from VPBank , the biggest sponsor of the two shows bringing Westlife to Vietnam this time. The fans continuously cheered with excitement.
After the artistic introduction clip, the four "romantic princes of love songs" appeared before Vietnamese audiences.
In elegant suits, the four young men made the audience crazy with their seemingly forgotten charisma and powerful voices. For nearly 2 hours, the band performed a complete song list of hits such as Uptown Girl, Fool Again, If I Let You Go, Swear It Again, Nothing gone change my love for you, I lay my love on you, My love, You raise me up…
In particular, the group's cover of ABBA's hit medley such as Mamma Mia, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Money Money Money, Take a Chance on Me, I Have a Dream, Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Thank You for the Music was humorously called "double youth" by the audience, and was also one of the interesting highlights of the show.
The stage and visuals of the performances were truly eye-catching, especially the climaxes with fireworks and confetti exploding brilliantly, pushing the audience's emotions to the extreme. The stage lighting combined with the prosperous blue sea of fans and the perfect sound quality brought a top-notch international performance.
If in the MVs, Westlife always leaves an impression as a gentle, romantic pop ballad group, then on stage they are an explosive version full of energy and very humorous with a strong Irish style. The entire audience was mesmerized by the talented and unique guidance of 4 extremely professional "MCs" named Westlife, creating emotional moments of fan chants echoing throughout the stadium, of the extremely brilliant interactive flashlight sea and of the forest of lightsticks glowing in harmony with each beat of the music from the beginning to the end of the show.
Fan's Youth Journey
Only when you get to the stadium and join nearly 16,000 fans can you feel the real difference of the show.
“I have waited many years to sit here and fulfill my youthful dream,” said Ms. Nhu Anh, a businesswoman in Hanoi. As a priority customer of VPBank, as soon as she received the invitation from the bank, Ms. Nhu Anh arranged her busy work to have time to watch the show with her daughter.
Right after the show ended, social media platforms were flooded with the blue color of the show. The most shared story was probably the joy of "losing my voice" because of the guys. "Never before has screaming been this good. The guys were the ones singing, but the one who lost my voice was me" - Ms. Mai Anh from Hanoi humorously said.
Along with thousands of spectators, fans were also delighted to see some famous names in the entertainment industry also joining in with their idols at Westlife's concert, such as Kha Ngan, Quynh Lam... All of them were wholeheartedly "burning" themselves out with their idols.
Westlife's first concert in Vietnam - The Wild Dreams Tour ended with explosive, complete emotions. Sharing about the concert, the biggest sponsor VPBank said, "We are very happy and proud to join the Organizing Committee to bring a meaningful and classy concert to thousands of Vietnamese fans in general and 5,000 VPBank customers in particular. Westlife's 2 concerts as well as many other concerts that we have organized are not just purely entertainment events, but also emotional and spiritual experiences, a meaningful gift of "spiritual prosperity" that VPBank wants to send to customers and fans."
