Doctor-musician Vu Minh Duc and "tea room melancholy" Huong Giang
On the evening of September 9, at Dong Dao tea room (HCMC), the music night "Listen to remember each other" by doctor - musician Vu Minh Duc took place. This is also an event to introduce his latest album of the same name, contributing to continue building the scholarship fund "Chap Canh Uoc Mo - Heart to heart" for disadvantaged and studious students.
The music night featured singers Huong Giang, Duy Hung, Ha Van, Tan Dao, Duc Vinh, and Lac Viet group...
The appearance of the boy Thi Mau "Duc Vinh" in the program is a witness to the good purpose of "Heart to heart".
Becoming famous soon after many TV shows, Duc Vinh received support from the fund to continue practicing his vocals and improving his singing skills.
Musician Vu Minh Duc also often writes new songs and invites me to record and introduce performances to support me comprehensively.
Duc Vinh confided: "Uncle Duc supported me a lot during the time when my voice broke." Many young singers going through puberty face the pressure of losing their singing voice. Understanding that, musician Vu Minh Duc accompanied Duc Vinh so that he could practice his singing voice using the most scientific method. Thanks to that, Duc Vinh's singing voice is now perfected so that he can continue to develop his career.
Musician Vu Minh Duc said: "I make music nights and albums not only for listeners and young audiences to know me but also for them to know the beautiful and good songs in the old music genre." For him, charity work is not about begging for pity from others. He always tries to bring spiritual values to the audience, so that they will join him in nurturing the green buds of the future.
Singer Huong Giang really loves the song of musician - doctor Vu Minh Duc.
The most meaningful performance of the concert was when musician Vu Minh Duc sang a piece of his own composition accompanied by young guitarist Vinh Phu. Vinh Phu is both an artist and one of the students receiving support from the "Heart to Heart" fund.
Vinh Phu won the International Mandolin Award and was given special admission to the Conservatory of Music to study both guitar and mandolin at the same time.
The entire auditorium was filled with light from the phones blending with the performance of the uncle and nephew on stage, as well as all hearts blending together towards a single goal.
Musician Vu Minh Duc's music night was meaningful when there appeared people who had received scholarships from him and had become successful.
Talking about the songs in the album, Huong Giang shared: "Everyone says Minh Duc's music is usually written for men. But in this album, he wrote very feminine songs specifically for Huong Giang."
One of them is the song "Phi khong em", which was chosen to make a MV with a unique idea from director Tung Phan.
For the author, this is a composition to fulfill a challenge from a friend: "There is a song called "Day without you" about the feelings of men, why isn't there a song about the feelings of women?"
For the MV director, the song really touched his heart, to the point that Tung Phan half-joked, half-seriously: "It must be a doctor who understands the heart as well as Vu Minh Duc to write songs that touch the heart like that." As for the performer, Huong Giang said that this is a rare time she has had such a feminine song.
Graduated from the University of Medicine in 1995, in 2000, Dr. Vu Minh Duc received a medical scholarship in Paris (France) and was one of the first doctors in Ho Chi Minh City to study coronary angiography and angioplasty - a method to help save the lives of patients with myocardial infarction.
He can be called a "3 in 1" person, because in addition to being a doctor and a musician, he also writes literature. In 2016, his work Saigon Chu Xua Tren Vai was released and reprinted many times. The "Chap Canh Uoc Mo - Heart to Heart" Fund was established by him and his two daughters in 2016 to support excellent students who are in difficult circumstances.
