VPUB - Creating an open and transparent investment environment, accompanying businesses and investors

Dienbien.gov.vn - On the morning of March 28, under the direction of comrade Le Thanh Do - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Department of Finance. The Provincial People's Committee organized the first Meeting with Enterprises and Investors in 2025 to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, creating maximum conditions for enterprises and investors to carry out procedures for research and survey, investment and construction, and effective production and business exploitation for sustainable growth. Attending the conference were comrade Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and 130 typical enterprises and investors representing the business community and investors in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the achievements of the business community, entrepreneurs and investors who have accompanied and joined hands to make important contributions to the implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development, poverty reduction and social security in Dien Bien province during the past time. The conference is an opportunity for relevant agencies and units to discuss, analyze, evaluate, fully and comprehensively identify the implementation situation, and unify the contents of tasks and solutions. Bringing about efficiency and practicality in promoting the progress of investment projects, developing production and business, and promoting the role of enterprises, entrepreneurs and investors in the province.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, in 2024, the total product in the province will increase by 8.51% compared to 2023; it is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, the province's GRDP will reach 3,514.27 billion VND, an increase of 10.31% over the same period last year; socio-cultural development has many improvements, successfully organizing many major cultural and political events of the province, people's lives continue to be improved, social security is ensured, and the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased. The Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment policy for 09 projects in the fields of urban areas, resort tourism, trade services and agriculture with a total registered investment capital of 2,253.278 billion VND. Up to now, there are 213 investment projects approved in principle with a total registered capital of 50,571.113 billion VND. The province currently has 1,330 enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 32,178 billion and 724 branches, representative offices, and business locations registered to operate locally, newly registering 973 business households with a total capital of over VND 18.15 billion. Up to now, the Departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have received 21 petitions from the Business Association in the province. The petitions have been received and resolved by the Departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, and there are written responses according to each petition's content.

The conference took time to listen to the opinions of businesses and investors on the implementation results, shared difficulties and obstacles in the process of investing in real estate, urban and housing projects; projects on trade, entertainment and recreation services; projects on agriculture, environmental resources and hydropower, renewable energy; and at the same time made proposals and recommendations. The provincial departments and branches also discussed and answered issues related to the content raised by businesses.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong affirmed: During the operation, enterprises and investors have worked with the province to remove many "bottlenecks" and "knots", contributing to creating momentum, position and strength for Dien Bien to break through and rise up; many key projects and works have been deployed and completed, creating momentum for the province's socio-economic development. The important achievements that the province has achieved have a great contribution from enterprises and investors. Acknowledging and praising the important contributions and support of the business community, enterprises and investors inside and outside the province for the socio-economic development of Dien Bien province in the past time. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct all levels and sectors to thoroughly resolve the recommendations and proposals of enterprises and investors. He believes that businesses and investors with their mettle, experience and the attention and support of the province will successfully and effectively implement projects in Dien Bien province and continue to make worthy contributions to the cause of rapid and sustainable construction and development of the province .

In his closing speech at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do requested the Party Committees, departments, branches, authorities at all levels, and provincial organizations to continue to accompany, support, proactively grasp, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, create the most favorable and best conditions for enterprises and investors to deploy production and business activities, and invest in projects in the province. Urgently review, promulgate, and publicize information and lists of projects calling for investment in the province in 2025 and the following years.
