Specifically, VNPT will support An Giang province in developing digital infrastructure, data platforms, smart operating systems; and improving digital capacity for civil servants, businesses and people.
In recent times, VNPT has provided many important technology solutions to serve the An Giang provincial government such as: Intelligent Operation Center (IOC), network information security monitoring system, malware monitoring and handling system, Provincial Public Service Portal, electronic office system connecting all levels...
In the field of education, VNPT has worked with the education sector of An Giang province to deploy many digital transformation solutions such as school management software, electronic contact books, digital transcripts, primary school enrollment systems, cashless fee collection, etc. These solutions have been contributing to improving management efficiency, improving the quality of public services and promoting socio-economic development of An Giang province.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend to promote the industrialization and modernization of the country and sustainable development of An Giang province. The signing of the cooperation agreement with VNPT Group is an important premise for the two sides to coordinate more strongly in implementing technological solutions, gradually perfecting e-government towards digital government, developing digital economy and digital society, ensuring information safety and security, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and the efficiency of business operations.
Meanwhile, Mr. To Dung Thai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNPT Group, said that VNPT will accompany An Giang province in building digital infrastructure, data infrastructure, developing a modern 5G telecommunications network, and providing the most advanced technology solutions. The goal is to contribute to building an effective digital government, promoting the development of the digital economy and forming a comprehensive digital society.
In the context that the whole country is actively implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on promoting national digital transformation by 2030, the cooperation between the People's Committee of An Giang province and VNPT Group not only demonstrates the strong political determination in the digital transformation of the People's Committee of An Giang province but is also a strategic step, contributing to the realization of the country's major goals on digital transformation.
Strong digitalization of An Giang healthcare sector
With experience in mastering 4.0 technologies, over the years, VNPT has accompanied and pioneered in providing solutions to promote digital transformation for the healthcare sector, in which VNPT EMR is part of VNPT's digital healthcare ecosystem that has been effectively applied in a number of hospitals across the country. The launch of Electronic Medical Records (VNPT EMR) within the framework of the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement on digital transformation for the period 2025-2030 also marks an important step in the journey of digital transformation of the healthcare sector in An Giang.
VNPT EMR is a solution that allows digitization, replacing all paper medical records, helping to save space, storage and preservation costs for hospitals. VNPT EMR is easily integrated with other products such as medical data portal; health insurance portal; hospital electronic information portal; VNPT CA solution... contributing to creating a complete medical ecosystem.
Thanks to VNPT EMR, medical staff will not have to use paper medical records, reducing the time spent writing procedures on paper records. During the medical examination, all paper records, X-ray orders, and patient results are digitized. The system connects departments and wards at the hospital; doctors only need to use technology devices such as smartphones, tablets, etc. to read test results, prescribe medical orders, etc. remotely through the VNPT ERM electronic medical record application.
Thereby, doctors can quickly grasp information about patients and professional exchange information between departments and rooms, helping to increase the effectiveness of consultation and treatment. In particular, based on electronic medical record software, doctors can focus on direct consultation or remote consultation, helping to improve the effectiveness of patient treatment.

Recognizing the strengths and effective features of VNPT EMR, the leaders of An Giang health sector resolutely directed its implementation. From the beginning of 2022, Tinh Bien Town Medical Center and Long Xuyen City Medical Center pioneered in upgrading and integrating medical examination and treatment management software, automatic medical test and imaging result return system.
This is an important preparation step for deploying VNPT EMR. By mid-2024, VNPT An Giang will coordinate with two medical centers to develop a plan to ensure progress. In January 2025, the Ministry of Health will assess and recognize the VNPT EMR system, marking an important step in the digital transformation of An Giang province's healthcare system.
An Giang Department of Health and VNPT also signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation of healthcare until 2025, with a vision to 2030, as a basis for the two sides to continue to coordinate in implementing data connectivity, electronic health records, and synchronizing national databases according to Project 06. VNPT has been and is working with 100% of medical facilities in An Giang province to deploy VNPT-EMR according to the set schedule.
