Mr. Hu Baishan - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of vivo, President of vivo Central Research Institute

At vivo's special introduction session held on the afternoon of March 25, Mr. Hu Baishan - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of vivo, and President of vivo Central Research Institute, delivered a speech with the theme of "Technology is the means, humanity is the principle". Mr. Hu affirmed that the mobile phone industry is a miniature representation of China's technological innovations and vivo's development has partly reflected the progress of the smartphone industry. He presented vivo's core business philosophy over the past three decades of development, built on three foundations: 'Causal Philosophy' of long-term thinking, 'Humanistic Thinking' based on empathy, and 'Symbiotic Intelligence' aiming at common success.

Mr. Hu Baishan said that the mobile phone industry has become an "incubator" for new industries in recent years, significantly changing the way people live and work. Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) and robots represent the pinnacle of technological achievements in the digital world and the physical world, which are still operating relatively independently and are not perfectly connected. The mobile phone industry, with its large user base, advanced technology ecosystem and diverse applications, is a potential factor to change this. Robots will be the new future of the mobile phone industry, playing the role of a bridge between the physical world and the digital world, while still adhering to the core values of being human-centered and creating an optimal user experience.
