Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD on March 27 launched its latest "trump card", the high-performance sedan Yangwang U7. One of the most notable technologies is the vehicle's balancing ability, which BYD demonstrated in a unique advertisement.
The highlight of the U7's debut was the demonstration of its advanced suspension system at Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport in Hebei.
In the released video, the powerful U7 overcomes a series of speed bumps of different heights of 30-50 mm at a speed of 15 km/h. On the roof of the car, a Wing Chun master maintains a one-legged stance throughout the entire movement of the car, demonstrating the excellent balance of the U7.
The key to the car's stability is the advanced Disus-Z suspension system, combined with a configuration of 4 independently operating electric motors. In addition, Disus-X also includes an intelligent shock absorber body control system (Disus-C), an intelligent hydraulic body control system (Disus-P) and an intelligent pneumatic body control system (Disus-A).
The system is capable of detecting road conditions in real time and automatically adjusting the suspension, ensuring optimal balance in all situations.

Weighing 3,095 kg, the Yangwang U7 only takes 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h before reaching a top speed of 270 km/h, partly thanks to a drag coefficient of 0.195 Cd.
Possessing 4 electric motors with a total capacity of 1,306 horsepower, the Yangwang U7 is more powerful than the Yangwang U9 electric sedan, which has a total output of 1,287 horsepower.
The Yangwang U7 was first introduced at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. The electric sedan will be available in showrooms in China in July 2024 but has yet to be released for sale. Some information has revealed that the Yangwang U7 will be equipped with BYD's Blade 2.0 battery pack.
The Chinese automaker says the U7 has a turning radius of less than 4.85 m, which is better than the BYD Seagull's 4.95 m.
