(ABO) On April 10, the People's Committee of Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province organized a handover ceremony to repair a gratitude house for the household of Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Thanh, born in 1962, daughter of martyr Tran Huu Ngan, residing in Binh Tho Dong hamlet, Binh Phan commune under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
The house was repaired with items such as wall painting, roofing, floor tiling and building an additional house below with a total cost of 40 million VND from the state budget according to Decision No. 21 dated November 22, 2024 of the Prime Minister.
At the house handover ceremony, representatives of the District Internal Affairs Department, Party Committee - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of the commune presented the family with many essential items for daily life.

Implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to the Prime Minister's Decision, recently, localities in Cho Gao district have focused on reviewing and making a specific and detailed list of the number of houses that need support for new construction and repair, and cases with outstanding issues; at the same time, studying solutions to overcome limitations, proposing the district to resolve and support housing construction to help households with difficult housing circumstances settle down, develop their economy with peace of mind, and stabilize their lives.
Through the screening results of communes and towns, the whole district has 8 households eligible to request housing support; of which, 1 household is a policy beneficiary of meritorious people and relatives of martyrs and 7 households are poor and near-poor households.
Up to now, the district has supported the repair and completion of a gratitude house for 1 household in Binh Phan commune, and the remaining 7 households are striving to hand over and put into use before April 30.
