The e-Service platform is intended to serve all Singapore importers who need to look up Singapore Customs laboratory test results for imported fresh/chilled fruits and vegetables into Singapore, with the implementation date starting from 01 May 2025.
Singapore importers will have a three-month transition period (from 1 May to 31 July 2025) to prepare for the necessary conditions to join the platform. During this period, all laboratory test results will continue to be notified to importers through the traditional method of phone and SMS.
From 1 August 2025 (after the above transition period), only failed laboratory test results and/or relevant destruction procedures will continue to be notified to importers by telephone. The remaining successful results will be posted on the above e-Service platform.
Exchanging information via hotline, SFA said that this e-Service system was built to serve Singaporean importers accessing through Singpass and Corppass. Currently, this system only allows Singaporean enterprises to look up their own business results, but does not allow them to look up information from other accounts. Foreign enterprises (including Vietnamese enterprises) who are interested in the inspection results must go through the importer in Singapore - the unit that directly imports the shipment.
Singapore importers are instructed to access the official website of SFA (at: https://www.sfa.gov.sg/ ), then select the items in turn according to the specific instructions (Digital Services > Food Import & Export > Inspection and Laboratory Test Outcome Import Inspection of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables ) in the notice to log in to the e-Service platform and perform a search ( https://ifast.sfa.gov.sg/eserviceweb/ ).
Specific step-by-step instructions are also available on the SFA website ( https://www.sfa.gov.sg/docs/default-source/digital-services/food-import-and-export/inspection-and-laboratory-test-outcome-import-inspection-of-fresh-fruits-and-vegetables.pdf ).
The Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore believes that SFA's guidance for importers to use this e-Service platform is a positive move, aiming to encourage Singaporean businesses in general and importers in particular to increase the use of digital platforms/applications of Singaporean authorities.
The Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore also recommends that Vietnamese enterprises exporting fresh/chilled fruits and vegetables to Singapore need to update these new regulations , proactively connect and cooperate with Singaporean partners to promptly grasp the laboratory test results for shipments exported to Singapore , and be ready to handle when requested.
