Vietnam attends the 36th Congress of the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP) in India

(NADS) - At the invitation of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, led by President Tran Thi Thu Dong, has traveled to India to attend the 36th FIAP Congress taking place from November 1-7, 2024.

Also attending was Artist Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Photographic Artists.

The delegations were welcomed from November 1 at the Royal Orchid Hotel Jaipur, the capital of the western Indian state of Rajasthan and also the largest city in the state. Located 268km from the capital New Delhi, Jaipur is a major tourist attraction in India and is part of the western tourist "circuit" of the Golden Triangle along with the two major cities of Agra and Delhi.

The Congress was organized by FIAP to review the activities of the photography federation in the past term and the activities, orientations and plans for the new term. The remaining time was for delegates to gain practical experience and create works about India when attending this Congress. In addition, the Congress spent a lot of time discussing and voting on many important issues in FIAP activities.

Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, presented Mr. Riccardo Busi, President of the International Federation of Photography (FIAP), the Association's logo and international art photography book.

At the Congress, the Vietnamese delegation met and exchanged with leaders of FIAP, the Photographic Federation of India and photographic associations and societies from friendly countries around the world. President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists Tran Thi Thu Dong also sent an invitation to international photographers to visit, create and exchange in Vietnam in the near future.
