Returning to cinema, Truong Ngoc Anh plays a dual role

The film directed by American director Jordan Schulz officially started filming on April 3. The two executive producers Sir Daniel K. Winn and Randall J. Slavin and the entire crew were also present. Chrysalis - The Cocoon depicts a vivid picture of the life story of Sir Daniel K. Winn, from his childhood in Vietnam to becoming one of the most famous sculptors. Through it, the film explores untold stories about art and determination to rise up, creating bridges between cultures.

Director Jordan Schulz said the crew is very excited to start this new journey in Vietnam, with the Vietnamese crew and their actors.

“Through Chrysalis , I wanted to honor Sir Daniel Winn’s legacy while crafting a story that could resonate with anyone who has ever sought meaning in hardship or found beauty in their own journey,” said director Jordan Schulz.

Among the cast of the film, young talent Uy Nhan (playing Daniel Winn as a child) was noticed after passing many rigorous casting rounds and competing with many candidates. Uy Nhan has participated in the films: Devil's Restaurant, Forgotten Land ...

Truong Ngoc Anh and actor Samuel An will play Daniel's biological parents. This is also the first time the actress of Ao Lua Ha Dong has collaborated with the male star born in 1993 who has been in high demand recently. She believes that the film will bring a unique artistic experience, creating interesting emotions and perspectives for the audience.

Meanwhile, actor and producer Tien Pham and young actress Lan Thy will play Daniel's stepparents, bringing contrasting nuances to the main character's development journey.
