"Vietnam's history of formation, struggle and development has always been associated with the values and principles of the United Nations, and is part of the common flow of the international community," the Prime Minister affirmed.

The Prime Minister said that Vietnam is willing to share its stories and lessons to make more important and practical contributions to the common work of the UN; since 2014, Vietnam has sent forces to contribute to the UN's common mission of peacekeeping.

In order not to disappoint the expectations and affection of the people, friends, and the international community, the Party and State of Vietnam will continue to pay more attention and make more efforts for an increasingly prosperous country, a place of reunion, and a source of pride for every Vietnamese person.

Speaking at the event, President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly Dennis Francis congratulated Vietnam on its 78th National Day; stating that after 78 years of independence, Vietnam has changed and developed extraordinarily, from a poor country to a middle-income and dynamic country with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

This demonstrates Vietnam's commitment to the common goals of the UN and has made meaningful contributions to the common work of the UN.

The President of the General Assembly hopes that Vietnam will continue to contribute more to the UN's goals; reaffirms support for all members, including Vietnam, in implementing the UN Charter, sustainable development goals and providing a roadmap towards the future Summit./.
