Party Committee of Brigade 169, Naval Region 1, held the 1st Congress of Delegates

On April 14 and 15, in Quang Ninh, the Party Committee of Brigade 169, Naval Region 1 held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending and directing the congress were Rear Admiral Vu Van Nam, Commander of Region 1; delegates from Van Don district, Quang Ninh province; twinned units in the area where the unit was stationed; the Staff, Political, Logistics - Technical agencies of Region 1 Command, and 109 delegates from the entire Brigade Party Committee.

In the past term, the Party Committee of Brigade 169 has thoroughly grasped the situation and tasks, promoted responsibility, solidarity, creativity, and basically led the completion of the four main groups of targets that had been determined. In particular, the targets on political ideology, discipline, healthy troops, increased production, and technical assurance exceeded the resolution; excellently completed the tasks of patrolling, reconnaissance, sea management, transportation, island support, etc. The quality of training, combat readiness, and basic regularization have been improved and increasingly matured, gradually forming skills and techniques in transitioning to combat readiness, preparing for combat, and handling situations according to plans. In particular, the agency and unit protection plan was assessed by the General Staff as one of the two best units in the Northern region, performing patrolling, managing and protecting sovereignty over seas and islands, and transporting, supporting, and conducting exercises according to a plan that is suitable and in accordance with principles; the soldiers' ideology is increasingly stable and solid; logistics, technical, and financial work well meets the requirements and tasks.

Internal solidarity and unity; leadership capacity, fighting strength of party organizations and quality of cadres and party members are improved; Party Committee successfully completed its tasks, Brigade achieved comprehensive strong unit "Exemplary, typical", was awarded the flag by the Ministry of National Defense as the leading unit in the emulation movement to win in 2024.

The Congress elected the Brigade Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Brigade Party Committee will continue to lead the construction of a regular, modern unit in terms of human resources, organization, combat plans, truly a basic, reliable assault force of the Region and the Service; capable of coordinating or being independent in patrolling, reconnaissance, amphibious transport, island support, search and rescue, contributing to firmly protecting sovereignty and a peaceful environment at sea; building Van Hoa Port as a military base with the beauty of a tourist destination; every year, the Party Committee excellently completes its tasks, the Brigade achieves comprehensive strength "Exemplary, typical". Strictly maintain combat readiness forces according to the prescribed Command; continue to advise and propose to the Region Commander on combat readiness ships in states appropriate to the conditions of the stationed unit. Building a politically strong Brigade, 100% of cadres, soldiers, and professional soldiers firmly grasp the unit's tasks, responsibilities, and assigned tasks; have a firm political stance; a high sense of responsibility and determination; a spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, flexibility, creativity, mastery of technical equipment and combat plans; firmly grasp countermeasures, properly handle complex situations that arise, not to be passive and surprised; be ready to fight, resolutely and persistently fight to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Speaking at the congress, Rear Admiral Vu Van Nam requested: The Party Committee of Brigade 169 continues to thoroughly grasp the resolutions, directives, regulations, and statutes of the superiors and the Military Service of the Region in performing its tasks.

Focus on strictly implementing and complying with regulations in organizational building, promoting the role of democratic centralism with the highest will and determination; implementing administrative procedure reform associated with digital transformation in the main activities of the unit. Ensuring the motto "Fundamental, practical, solid", synchronization between the staff, political, logistics, technical sectors, between agencies and units. Training closely with the plan, combat objects, close to the battlefield, close to the organization and structure in peacetime, wartime of the Brigade and weapons, equipment of patrol boats, landing transport ships and task forces. 100% of officers and soldiers are clearly aware of the central political responsibilities and tasks of building discipline, training discipline, focusing on overcoming weaknesses and weak points so that the VMTD Brigade is "exemplary, typical" including many new methods, good practices to build political qualities for officers and soldiers, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people; Contribute to building the Party Committee of the TSVM Region and the VMTD Region, firmly protecting the sovereignty of assigned seas and islands.

The congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress; the draft political report of the 13th Congress of Party Delegates of Region 1 and the draft political report of the Party Committee of Brigade 169 to be submitted to the congress.

With a sense of responsibility and democracy, the congress elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 13 comrades; elected 24 official delegates and 3 alternate delegates to attend the 13th Congress of the Party Committee of Region 1 for the 2025-2030 term.

At the first meeting, the Party Executive Committee of Brigade 169 elected the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Brigade Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
