1930 - 1975 - 2025, the numbers are like a random, magical encounter, like a pre-arranged appointment. 2025 is the year Vietnam and all of humanity pass through a quarter of the 21st century. A new era, an era of our nation's rise, is about to begin from this historical milestone.

In the poem The Man in Search of the Country's Shape , Che Lan Vien wrote: "What will happen to the flag? What will happen to the song ? /What will happen to the smile? Oh independence!/How blue is the Fatherland's sky/When freedom shines brightly above . " The poem was published more than 60 years ago and is known by heart by many readers of all generations. The contemplative quality is a prominent feature in this poem. Is that why poetry is always new? Poetry holds our hands, poetry leads us.

What will the Party flag, the National flag, the singing, the smiles on the lips of the Vietnamese people be like? That is the image of the country's stature when all the colonialists and imperialists are expelled and freedom and independence are gained. And then, just four years after he returned to the Fatherland, the General Uprising was successful. The thunder of the August Revolution opened the era of independence and freedom for the nation, after thousands of years of Northern feudalism and hundreds of years of foreign domination.
Through the arduous and extremely heroic stages of resistance, our army and people wrote the glorious history of Dien Bien Phu victory. But the war did not stop in the tropical land, but history was written through songs of war. It was not until the spring of 1975 that the Ho Chi Minh Campaign was completely victorious, and our country was reunited. The whole nation entered a new era: the era of peace and unification, the whole country moving towards socialism, defending the Fatherland, and building the country "more than ten days ago".

The era of national development begins from this historical milestone. Or to put it simply, this is the final stage to enter a historical journey. That journey brings us to the 100-year milestone of the founding of the new Vietnam in the long and great march of our ancestors for thousands of years.
Now is the time to stretch yourself
Try to imagine the shape of Vietnam in 20 years. The 13th National Congress of our Party affirmed: The country has achieved great achievements of historical significance, developing strongly and comprehensively compared to the years before the renovation. The scale and level of the economy have been raised. The people's material and spiritual lives have improved significantly. Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today. That foundation and position are the foundation and fulcrum for the country to move forward, with the primary task of successfully implementing strategic goals by 2030, becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 becoming a developed socialist country with high income.
Yes, that is the shape of a large ship crossing the ocean, not only with blue sky, calm sea, but also thousands of storms. Saying that is somewhat abstract, specific strategies, goals, and solutions have been researched, planned, and implemented. There are many criteria to determine which is a developed country. The world currently has 38 member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) considered developed countries, including G7 countries, newly industrialized countries, and some other countries with modern industrial production. A developed country must first of all be an industrialized country, with advanced industrial production, a modern, civilized society. The average income per capita must reach over 12,050 USD/year.
So where are we now? Thanks to the great harvests in the field of innovation, Vietnam has achieved great and comprehensive achievements. The size of the economy is estimated to increase 1.45 times compared to 2021, reaching 500 billion USD by 2025. Per capita income increased sharply from 3,400 USD to about 4,650 USD, bringing our country into the group of upper middle-income countries... With new position and strength, with rapid and sustainable progress, the set goals will become reality.
Take 2024 as an example, a year with many difficulties due to natural disasters and floods, and heavily affected by wars and armed conflicts in the world, especially in the Middle East, our country's macro economy continues to be stable, inflation is controlled. The whole year's growth is estimated at more than 7% , belonging to the group of countries with high growth rates in the region and the world, highly appreciated by many large and prestigious international organizations.
There were many outstanding impressions in the Year of the Dragon, such as the completion of more than 2,000 kilometers of highway; the completion of the 500kV Circuit 3 Project of Quang Binh - Hung Yen after more than six months of rapid construction; the whole country joined hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, to be completed by the end of 2025. And, especially, the National Assembly resolved to build the North - South high-speed railway, an unprecedentedly large project.
In a picture with many bright colors, Hai Duong province's economic growth for the whole year reached over 10.2%, higher than the national average.

Extraordinary effort required
Good thoughts and words are the flowers, new actions are the fruits. What has been done is the test of policies and guidelines. The Party's will meets the people's hearts, starting from everyday matters to concerns and worries in the long term. What we often say is that we need vision, aspiration, shortcuts, and anticipation to modernize the country in the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution that has knocked on every door. We have a firm belief that setting a lofty goal by the middle of the 21st century is well-founded. That is the national combined strength created in previous periods, especially in the process of innovation. We are fortunate to have new opportunities brought about by the turning point of the world's movement. We are behind but can reach the finish line early.
Truth is concrete, revolution is creative. Nearly a century of building and maturing has tempered the mettle and enriched the intelligence of a "genuine and steadfast" revolutionary Party, as Uncle Ho often said. The rich and vivid reality of the Vietnamese revolution has proven that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all victories of the revolution, creating many miracles in Vietnam. To become more and more worthy of being the vanguard leading the entire nation forward, our Party has been constantly renewing and rectifying itself.
A veteran revolutionary confided that in the 20th century, our people stood up and moved forward , and now is the time to rise up, because the world is changing every day, and slow change means falling behind, being thrown out of the orbit of integration and globalization. If we want to be fast and sustainable, we must strive beyond the normal level, and some things require extraordinary efforts.
The 10th Central Conference (Term XIII) has outlined important orientations in the process of preparing documents for the 14th National Congress. It clearly defines the directions, goals, and tasks of the entire Party and people. In the next 5 years (2026 - 2030), our country will continue to implement the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2021 - 2030); creating a foundation to realize the vision to 2045, the 10th anniversary of the founding of the new Vietnam.
There are many tasks that need to be done immediately, such as continuing to improve the Party's leadership and governance capacity; fighting corruption associated with fighting waste; removing institutional bottlenecks, including bottlenecks in thinking. To remove bottlenecks, to prevent budget and tax money from being "drained" into the river, we must strengthen management, supervision, and decentralization. And we must definitely reduce focal points, streamline the payroll, and make the government apparatus, agencies, and organizations lean and strong, overcoming the situation of too many people pointing fingers and not enough people getting to work, lacking space for criticism, and many cadres "silently waiting for the right time", especially at the end of the congress term.
95 springs with the Party, Spring At Ty 2025 is coming, promising bright green shoots and sweet fruit seasons in the future. That is the spring that begins a new journey, a new era, full of faith and aspiration.
