Ms. Truong Thi Hai, Director of the Company shared: “In 2023, through research on market demand and the advantages of local raw materials, I researched and developed traditional medicine recipes based on the application of science and technology. After many experiments and many failures, my husband and I successfully researched and produced batches of tea that retain their natural medicinal properties and refreshing taste. My most successful achievement was the production of herbal tea bags that combine two main herbs, Solanum procumbens and Gynostemma pentaphyllum. This is also a product certified as a 3-star OCOP product.”

Applying new machinery to production helps the company's products increase competitiveness in the market.

The medicinal plants after harvest are processed by the Company according to the correct process and standards, the quality control team at each stage is very strict. Up to now, the Company has produced 5 products including: Ca gai leo tea - Gynostemma pentaphyllum, An xoa tea - Dinh lang, Ca gai leo root tea, Ngam huong guava bud tea, An xoa tea which are supplied to the market and widely distributed at stores in and outside the province. In which, some products have high consumption from 5-7 quintals of products/month such as: Ca gai leo tea, Ca gai leo root tea, An xoa tea.

However, realizing that the market has more and more products of the same type competing with the Company's products. Therefore, in order to improve production and business capacity and product competitiveness, it is necessary to research and apply scientific and technological advances in production. Through learning about industrial promotion policies, in 2024, the Company proactively registered to request partial funding support from industrial promotion sources to invest in machinery and equipment for the production of herbal tea bags.

According to the leader of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, from the advantages and based on the regulations on industrial promotion policies, the request for support document of Pham Trinh Herbal Medicine Company Limited, the Center has coordinated with the Company to establish a local industrial promotion project in 2024 with the content of supporting the application of machinery and equipment in the production of herbal tea bags to support part of the investment costs for purchasing machinery and equipment.

The herbal tea bag product Solanum procumbens - Gynostemma pentaphyllum is certified OCOP 3 stars.

Accordingly, the Company was supported with 80 million VND to invest in purchasing new grinding machines, tea bag packaging machines, and continuous bag sealing machines. After the Company put the new machines into production, the productivity reached about 10-12 tons of products/year (an increase of nearly 60% compared to before); revenue was about 2.7 billion VND. The Company also created jobs for 10 local workers with an income of 5-7 million VND/person/month.

Ms. Truong Thi Hai happily said: “Thanks to the support from the industrial promotion project, the Company has boldly invested in new machinery. The invested machinery and equipment are 100% new, operate synchronously and produce products with diverse quality, designs and styles. The application of new machinery helps the company produce a large number of products in a short time; helps the facility save on raw materials, reduce product costs, and increase competitiveness with similar products on the market.”

It can be seen that the support of local industrial promotion capital helps the company to be more proactive in production. Thereby, improving product quality, increasing labor productivity, reducing product costs, meeting consumer needs. In addition to the effectiveness of the industrial promotion project, the project also contributes to promoting the State's industrial promotion policy, encouraging other rural industrial establishments to learn from experience and invest in advanced machinery and equipment in industrial and handicraft production. Thereby, contributing to concretizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on industrial development in the province for the period 2021-2025.
