VEHA helps improve the quality of hotel human resources

Information from VEHA shows that in recent times, VEHA has successfully organized many intensive training courses on leadership and management skills for its members. In particular, VEHA has invited many leading domestic and foreign experts to teach, contributing to improving the professional qualifications of the Vietnamese housekeeping team.

In addition, VEHA has coordinated with the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Vietnam Hotel Association to implement for the first time in Vietnam a program to assess and grant Vocational Certificates to 18 qualified Housekeeping Managers (room cleaning staff). Coordinated with the Department of Tourism of several provinces and cities to implement the "Room Cleaning Competition", thereby contributing to improving the quality of room cleaning staff at hotels. In particular, VEHA has actively organized "Green - Clean - Beautiful" programs to clean tourist areas and plant trees and afforestation nationwide.

In the coming time, VEHA aims to continue improving the quality of human resources in the tourism industry, especially hotel housekeeping staff, by expanding its membership network, not only in quantity but also in quality. VEHA will strengthen communication and promotion activities to attract more talented housekeeping experts to join the organization.

In addition, VEHA strengthens international cooperation, thereby creating opportunities for members to access the latest trends in the housekeeping industry in the world. Regarding the improvement of human resources quality of hotel management and cleaning staff, VEHA Chairman Nguyen Quang said that in the coming time, VEHA will increase the organization of training courses to improve housekeeping management skills as well as soft skills such as leadership, communication and time management. In addition, it will increase the update of new products - technologies, new trends in housekeeping management, thereby contributing to improving service quality in the entire industry.

The representative of the Vietnam Hotel Association stated that VEHA has become an important bridge between experts in the industry, creating conditions for sharing experiences and learning from each other, contributing to improving the professional qualifications of thousands of employees and room managers nationwide.

In addition, VEHA plays an active role in developing and disseminating quality standards in room management, coordinating with relevant agencies to propose and implement many new standards, helping to improve service quality at accommodation establishments.

At the VEHA congress, the 3rd term executive committee (2024 - 2029) consisting of 42 members was elected, of which 6 members were elected to the VEHA executive board. Mr. Nguyen Quang (Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Hotel Association) was elected as Chairman of VEHA for the 3rd term.
