Gold increased by half a million dong/tael

Gold price today (April 7) increased by half a million VND per tael in both directions, world gold reached a new peak, recording the third consecutive week of increase.

Survey at 5:00 a.m. on April 7, gold prices on the trading floors of some companies are as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 79.00 million VND/tael for buying and 82.00 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 80.10 - 81.10 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 79.50 - 81.65 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today (Vietnam time) was at 2,329.57 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 69.272 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 10.228 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

USD exchange rate recovers

Today (April 7), VCB USD continued to be at parity, while the world USD recorded a recovery when closing the week firmly at 104 points.

The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 24,038 VND/USD, an increase of 18 VND compared to the trading session on April 5.

Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,171 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,171 VND/USD.

Japanese Yen Rate Hits 2-Week High

The Japanese Yen exchange rate today (April 7) reached its highest level in 2 weeks. Survey at banks, specifically as follows:

At Vietcombank , the buying rate is 160.06 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 169.41 VND/JPY, an increase of 0.61 VND in the buying direction and an increase of 0.64 VND in the selling direction.

Vietinbank, Yen exchange rate increased by 0.21 VND in buying and selling directions, equivalent to 160.39 VND/JPY and 170.09 VND/JPY.

At BIDV Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.36 VND in buying and increased by 0.35 VND in selling, reaching 160.73 VND/JPY and 169.29 VND/JPY, respectively.

Agribank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate for buying and selling is 161.27 VND/JPY and 169.44 VND/JPY - up 0.66 VND for buying and up 0.73 VND for selling.

At Eximbank, the buying price increased by 0.76 VND and the selling price increased by 0.78 VND, respectively at 162.54 VND/JPY and 167.26 VND/JPY.

Techcombank, Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.42 VND in buying and increased by 0.48 VND in selling with prices of 157.85 VND/JPY and 168.92 VND/JPY respectively.

At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.43 VND in the buying and selling directions, respectively at 162.75 VND/JPY and 167.78 VND/JPY.

Domestic coffee slightly decreased, still above 102,000 VND/kg

Domestic coffee prices were updated at 5:24 a.m. on April 7, down 100 VND/kg, but still at a record price of over 102,000 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 102,400 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 102,700 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 102,500 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 102,700 VND/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 102,000 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 102,300 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 102,400 VND/kg./.
