At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 84-85 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars also increased by 700,000 VND/tael for buying and 1.2 million VND/tael for selling.

The world gold price rebounded thanks to the support of the weakening USD and the decrease in Treasury bond yields after the newly released US economic data showed that inflation is slowing down.
Specifically, the US Commerce Department just reported that the core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) index, which excludes volatile goods and energy prices and is the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure, increased 0.1% last month compared to October's 0.3% increase. The data was slightly weaker than expected, as economists had forecast a 0.2% increase. Over the past 12 months, inflation increased 2.8%, unchanged from October's figure. Annual inflation was also slightly lower than expected, as economists had predicted a 2.9% increase.
Weaker inflation data is providing a boost to gold as prices have held key support levels despite significant headwinds.
However, some analysts continue to call for caution in the market as inflation remains high, forcing the Federal Reserve to slow the pace of interest rate cuts into 2025.
