In which, Delegate Nguyen Van Canh (Binh Dinh delegation) shared: "Everyone has gone through the stage of being a student, everyone wants to integrate, wants to be encouraged, wants to express themselves, students with poor academic performance often tend to be violent".
According to Delegate Canh, every child has a talent in some areas, if not good at Math, Physics, Chemistry then Literature, History, Geography, if not good at foreign languages, IT then will excel in music, painting, sports. Teachers and families need to pay attention, discover and nurture so that every student is good at some subjects, and their abilities are recognized.
From there, Mr. Canh suggested that the education sector have regulations to help students have the opportunity, whether in individual or group activities, to appear once a month in front of the class, once a year in front of the school to express themselves, integrate, and satisfy their desire to be recognized.
At the same time, Delegate Nguyen Van Canh also pointed out a reality that "children often argue with their parents' advice even if it is correct advice". He said that one of the reasons is that parents teach their children too many things without choosing an order of priority. Many parents say that their children do not listen, but the same words that teachers say, the children obey.
Mr. Canh believes that for children who are not yet polite, parents need to teach them scientifically. Parents should avoid saying that children are rude and disrespectful, but guide them on how to do things properly, because children's behavior does not come naturally but is learned from adults.
Citing the example of foreign children learning the ABC song and then learning the song "Please, sorry, thank you", Mr. Canh suggested that after teaching preschool children the ABC letters, they should continue to teach them how to say "Please, sorry, thank you" before learning the multiplication table or computer programming.
Proposal to make sex education an independent subject
Delegate Dinh Thi Ngoc Dung (Hai Duong delegation) raised another issue: the unfortunate and heartbreaking consequences of underage sex, although this is not a new issue.
The female delegate worried: "Teenage pregnancy is not only a health problem, it also takes away many learning opportunities and choices for them in life."
According to the new general education program, sex education content is included in compulsory official subjects integrated into social science subjects from grades 1, 2, 3 and the Science program for grades 4 and 5. At the secondary school level, this content is at the end of the Biology program for grade 8.

However, according to Delegate Dinh Thi Ngoc Dung, the content is still thin, knowledge only stops at theory, teachers are still confused in implementing teaching, students only understand but have not applied to protect themselves.
The delegate asked the Ministry of Education and Training to consider making sex education and reproductive health an independent subject, with its own program, its own curriculum, and content designed to suit the development of each age group at each level of education, in addition to the standard, scientific curriculum. The teacher must be an experienced expert, ready to advise and explain students' questions.
Discussing later, Delegate Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh (Vinh Long delegation) said that our country is implementing a new general education program, aiming at students to develop harmoniously in terms of physical and mental health, becoming active and confident learners, with good qualities and necessary abilities.
However, currently, school violence has shown alarming signs. According to Delegate Canh, Delegate Dung pointed out the heartbreaking incidents in the education sector in recent times, which partly shows that school culture has not received due attention. According to the delegate, this problem has many causes, from family, school and society.
However, we must also frankly acknowledge that it is the responsibility of the school leader to build relationships within the school based on love, tolerance, forgiveness, frankness, honesty and responsibility through activities taking place within the school, from formal lessons to extracurricular activities and skills training for students.
Ms. Thanh suggested that the Ministry of Education and Training should promote training programs for management staff, especially principals, in school organization capacity. Principals must have a scientific worldview to clearly understand and grasp educational goals...
It is necessary to promote the organization of practical extracurricular programs, especially dialogue activities for students to listen and share their views and perspectives on issues of public concern. This is a useful activity to build relationships and create consensus among members of the school.
Delegate Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh emphasized that it is necessary to pay attention to building a good relationship between the school and the family. The relationship between the school and the family has long required a lot of responsibility from the parents, forgetting that parents also need to understand the goals of the school and have transparent information to create trust.
