Phu Tho - the land of the ancestors, the land of the nation's origin, where the Hung Kings built the Van Lang nation - the first state of the Vietnamese people located in the center of the Red River civilization, where many traditional cultural heritages are preserved associated with the history of building and defending the nation, is a resource for Phu Tho to develop its economy and society in a green, harmonious, unique and happy direction; ensuring harmonious development between economy and culture, associated with progress, social justice, and improving all aspects of people's lives.

Generations of An Thai Xoan ward, Viet Tri city actively preserve and promote the heritage value of Phu Tho Xoan singing.

Phu Tho currently has 1,372 preserved tangible and intangible cultural heritages, of which 326 historical and cultural relics are ranked by the State, 345 relics worshiping Hung Kings and figures of the Hung Kings period, 30 relics related to Xoan singing, and 5 national treasures.

The whole province has over 650 intangible cultural heritages (ICHs) that have been inventoried, identified and classified, of which many festivals have become unique spiritual and cultural symbols: Hung Temple Festival, Au Co Temple Festival, Dao Xa Communal House Festival, Thach Khoan Communal House Festival, Lang Suong Temple Festival, Du Yen Temple Festival, Tro Tram Tu Xa Festival, Kim Duc Xoan Festival, Phuong Lau... In particular, there are 2 representative ICHs of humanity honored by UNESCO: Hung King Worship in Phu Tho and Phu Tho Xoan Singing.

Phu Tho has also coordinated with provinces and cities to complete the dossier of the "Mo Muong" intangible cultural heritage to submit to UNESCO for inclusion in the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection and the "Cheo Art" intangible cultural heritage to the list of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Activities of inventorying, reviewing, and evaluating the current status of historical and cultural relics, preparing dossiers and projects to propose ranking, investing, embellishing, and restoring relics are carried out regularly. Attention is paid to preserving, restoring, and promoting the value of the intangible culture of ethnic minorities. Traditional festivals, performances, folk games, customs, habits, and beautiful lifestyles of ethnic minorities have been and are being actively researched, collected, restored, and protected.

Some district-level units have issued resolutions and projects to preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​in accordance with local realities such as Thanh Son, Tan Son, Yen Lap, Thanh Thuy... Developing and promulgating projects to inventory, collect, preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group and other ethnic minorities in the area for the period 2021-2025 has received consensus and response from all walks of life, mobilizing resources to participate in preserving, conserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of the Muong ethnic group.

Up to now, Phu Tho has had 1,064 relics inventoried, 205/326 ranked relics proposed for restoration. 100% of communes, wards and towns in the area with ranked relics have established commune-level relic management boards. In the education of the young generation, effectively promote the role of artisans in teaching and practicing Xoan singing for the artistic cores of Xoan singing clubs and Phu Tho folk singing clubs to preserve and promote the value of Xoan singing in the community, arouse love in the young generation, create a successor force, and strong spreading power of Xoan singing.

The implementation of civilized lifestyle in organizing festivals, protecting and promoting the value of cultural heritage is regularly directed, in accordance with legal regulations, suitable to the actual situation of the locality, ensuring environmental hygiene. Mobilizing people to take responsibility in preserving, restoring and promoting cultural heritage; mobilizing socialization to protect, restore and promote the value of relics has achieved positive results; together with the investment and support of the State, relics have been preserved, maintained and promoted the beauty of traditional culture in the community. In order to preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​in the province, contribute to building, maintaining and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, promoting cultural values ​​and human strength of the Ancestral Land, in parallel with mobilizing people to actively participate in preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of the nation, it is necessary to widely propagate the Law on Cultural Heritage and related legal documents, raise awareness among officials and people about the role, significance and responsibility in preserving and promoting the values ​​of cultural heritage, meeting the increasingly high cultural needs of the people.

Promote propaganda and promotion activities to introduce the Ancestral Land associated with promoting the intangible cultural heritage values ​​of "Hung King worship in Phu Tho", "Phu Tho Xoan singing" in the capital region and the whole country to develop tourism associated with preserving and promoting the historical and cultural values ​​of the Ancestral Land, while building the tourism brand "Phu Tho - Returning to the roots of the nation". Focus on educating students about the history and culture of the homeland through studying, visiting, and experiencing activities at museums and historical and cultural relics in the province. Replicate models and typical examples, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with achievements in preserving and promoting historical and cultural values, contributing to building and developing the culture of the Ancestral Land.
