'The role of digital transformation and AI in the healthcare industry is extremely important'

On March 27, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation visited and worked with Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) in Quang Nam.

The visit aims to discuss the vision of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, towards smart healthcare.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tung, Chairman of the Board of Phan Chau Trinh University, emphasized that the visit was an opportunity for the university and FPT Corporation to continue working to optimize and develop digital transformation projects in applying technology to education and healthcare.

PCTU believes that cooperation with pioneering units such as FPT will help PCTU realize the goal of training high-quality medical human resources, while improving smart healthcare services for the community.

According to Mr. Tung, Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine Hospital has recently deployed the HIS 2.0 software system developed by FPT, receiving positive feedback from patients. This is an important step in the journey to build a digital, paperless, cashless hospital that the hospital and school are aiming for.

Sharing during the visit, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, said that the role of digital transformation and AI in the healthcare industry is extremely important. Technology is not just a supporting tool but a constantly changing field, requiring continuous updates and continuous improvement to maintain a pioneering position.

In addition to sharing about digital transformation and technology application in medicine, Mr. Truong Gia Binh also hopes to have more direct discussions with the PCTU leadership about cooperation orientation in applying technology to medical education and practical medicine.

On this occasion, the delegation visited Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine Hospital, where modern technology applications have been applied in the medical examination and treatment process.

At the Premier Clinic, Mr. Truong Gia Binh directly experienced the modern, digital, paperless medical examination process. He expressed his surprise and satisfaction when the examination results were returned quickly and could be viewed directly on his phone via the Patient Portal application.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh also expressed his impression of the facilities, medical staff and especially the hospital's development vision according to the smart hospital model, applying AI in medicine.
