1. Before leaving for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, despite putting all their faith in U23 Vietnam   But many people are still very worried about coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team in the tournament taking place in Qatar. It can be seen that after the unfinished project named U23 Vietnam from the previous coach Troussier, the captain from Khanh Hoa plays the role of 'substitute', only having a few days to prepare with the team.

Also because of the urgency of time, Mr. Tuan could not change too much the list of U23 Vietnam, which had been made a long time ago. Because of many difficulties and challenges, the fact that U23 Vietnam won the ticket to the quarter-finals of the U23 Asia 1 round early is clearly commendable. 2. The two victories that U23 Vietnam created against U23 Kuwait and U23 Malaysia to get the ticket to the quarter-finals early, were worthy when the students of Coach Hoang Anh Tuan were brave and took advantage of opportunities better than their opponents. However, that could not make the U23 Vietnam coach satisfied or stop having a headache about his players, because in fact, the home team still revealed too many problems in the past 2 matches. Typically, in the victory against U23 Malaysia, for example, except for the score, the rest of U23 Vietnam was not better than the team in the same region in terms of professional statistics. U23 Malaysia controlled the ball up to 59%, shot 15 times (5 on target) while U23 Vietnam only had 11 shots (4 on target and 2 goals), and the number of accurate passes was also much higher than that of coach Hoang Anh Tuan's students, for example. If there were not goals falling at sensitive times, it would not have been easy for U23 Vietnam to win all 3 points and quickly get a ticket to the quarterfinals as seen. 3. At the end of the match against U23 Malaysia, coach Hoang Anh Tuan gave many compliments to his students, as well as expressed satisfaction with the victory they had just won.

This is understandable, and not surprising because with his experience, Mr. Tuan knows when to praise and criticize appropriately. Praising and encouraging his players does not mean that the strategist from Khanh Hoa is completely satisfied with U23 Vietnam's expertise, and also understands that there are still many things that need to be fixed if they want to go further than the quarter-finals. Therefore, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's headache will not be easy to overcome because the upcoming matches will be truly challenging for himself and his team against very strong opponents, such as U23 Uzbekistan for example.
