Launching a platform to honor and spread Make in Vietnam initiatives

On April 9, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) launched the "Information portal for receiving and announcing scientific and technological (S&T) products and solutions, innovation (I&T) and digital transformation" (Portal 57) at: https://nq57.mst.gov.vn .

Not only is it a place to announce typical solutions and products that have been successfully implemented in practice, the portal is also a place for businesses to propose new initiatives, products and services for professional agencies to receive and evaluate.

Honoring and spreading Make in Vietnam initiatives, even the smallest ones

With the aim of helping businesses find partners, customers, and investors, the Ministry of Science and Technology will play a role in assessing the features and effectiveness of products and services to put on Portal 57, introduce, connect, and promote with organizations, ministries, branches, and localities.

Emphasizing the public, transparent and convenient nature of Portal 57, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Duc Long shared that the entire process of connecting, evaluating and announcing products and solutions is done online and continuously; businesses can track feedback results without going through traditional paperwork. In the in-depth assessment rounds, the Ministry of Science and Technology will invite independent experts to evaluate.

Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long informed that Portal 57 has announced 71 outstanding digital technology products and solutions honored at the 2024 “Make in Vietnam” Digital Technology Product Award. In the near future, science and technology products and services that have won other prestigious awards will also appear on the portal. In addition, within 24 hours of opening, the portal has processed 56/80 product and solution registration applications after checking their validity.

Portal 57 is a place to recognize and spread creative initiatives, technical improvements, and application solutions - even the smallest ones - in line with the spirit of Resolution 57: "Expanding and diversifying forms of honor, recognition, and timely and worthy rewards" for scientists, inventors, businesses, organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the cause of Science and Technology - Innovation - Digital Transformation.

Many small and medium-sized enterprises have good products but do not have the potential to communicate and promote them like large enterprises. “We need to cherish every invention, every initiative – because every product and solution put into use can create great value for the country,” said the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Practical actions to bring Resolution 57 into life

Present at the opening ceremony, representatives of enterprises expressed that Portal 57 has realized the long-standing desire of those working in science and technology, which is to receive support from the government in promoting and communicating products and services to as many people as possible. FPT representative said that Portal 57 is not only a step forward in policy communication, but also a strategic connection platform between the Government and the technology business community, a place to gather products that Vietnamese enterprises have boldly invested, created and developed.

According to Mr. Do Ba Dan, Chairman of Tri Nam Group, Portal 57 is a useful environment that helps people with products and those in need find each other easily, quickly and reliably because it has been assessed and evaluated by competent authorities. In addition, products and services with good quality have the opportunity to be known and applied more widely because they no longer appear separately and fragmentedly as before.

Commenting that the 57 Portal is "a practical action to bring Resolution 57 into life", the representative of CMC Group recommended that the Ministry of Science and Technology continue to improve the functions and procedures for receiving and processing records as well as experiences, while promoting the portal in the media and press.

Meanwhile, MISA representative made two proposals: The Ministry should have clear evaluation criteria for products so that businesses can closely follow and meet customer service requirements; Add criteria to classify records by size, customer, industry, etc. to make it easier for users to search.

Appreciating the contributions of businesses, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long said that he will listen and absorb to gradually perfect the Portal 57, helping businesses both introduce products and find solutions to solve their problems. "This is an opportunity for businesses to review themselves, innovate their apparatus, be more creative, and digitally transform to firmly step into the new era," the Deputy Minister shared.
