According to Fortune , billionaire Nicolas Puech, 80 years old, is the 5th generation of the Hermès family. He is a former member of the board of directors of the LVMH group. Although he left the company in 2014, he is still the largest individual shareholder of Hermès.

According to Swiss magazine Bilan, Puech owns about 5% or 6% of the company, worth $10.3-11.4 billion.

He is planning to transfer part of his fortune to a 51-year-old gardener from Morocco.

The billionaire is in the process of transferring the assets to the gardener, and has hired a team of lawyers to guide the process.

Having no children, Hermes billionaire wants to leave his fortune to his gardener

The gardener, whose identity is unknown, is said to be married. The press reports that the lucky gardener could inherit half of Puech's fortune.

Another newspaper reported that Puech had handed over keys to a property in Marrakesh, Morocco, and a villa in Montreux, Switzerland, worth a combined $5.9 million, to the gardener.

However, adopting an adult in Switzerland is quite complicated.

In addition, Mr. Puech also signed an inheritance agreement with the Isocrates Foundation (headquartered in Geneva) in 2011, so changing the inheritance rights to the gardener is not easy.

Nicolas Borsinger, secretary general of Isocrates, said Mr Puech's plan was an abrupt and unilateral abrogation of the agreement.

The fund said it had received information about the billionaire's intention to cancel the inheritance agreement and wished to continue further negotiations.
