On October 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation honored 23 business owners in the program "Accompanying businesses" in 2024 with the theme "Solidarity - Development" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024).
These are typical enterprises that not only comply with the law, pay taxes and social insurance, but also proactively coordinate with the City Trade Union to implement many meaningful care programs, and have many policies and regimes for treating employees in recent times.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, praised the enterprises for their solidarity and coordination with the City's Trade Unions at all levels in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; implementing well the regulations on salary, bonus, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, ensuring a safe working environment for workers.
Enterprises pay attention to taking care of workers in difficult circumstances, especially during holidays and Lunar New Year; at the same time, create conditions for workers to improve their education, skills, expertise, professional skills, political and legal knowledge, as well as pay attention to improving mid-shift meals, supporting rent, childcare, etc.
“These meaningful activities have contributed to building good feelings, strengthening the bond between workers and enterprises; at the same time creating conditions for trade unions to closely coordinate with enterprises, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in Ho Chi Minh City,” Mr. Vo Van Hoan emphasized.
From the sentiments and specific actions of enterprises for workers and trade unions, Mr. Vo Van Hoan affirmed that enterprises can rest assured to invest, develop production and business in accordance with the law, the City leaders will always care, accompany and create the best conditions for enterprises to invest and develop in Ho Chi Minh City.
“Enterprises should continue to accompany the City Trade Union to take better care of union members and workers in terms of material and spiritual aspects; focus on improving the qualifications, skills and expertise of workers, contributing to improving labor productivity and competitiveness in the context of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular on the path of development and deep international integration,” Mr. Vo Van Hoan shared.
According to Mr. Pham Chi Tam, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the commended enterprises have been affirming their role and position in building and improving the quality of their workforce. At the same time, they care about the lives of their workers, considering workers as valuable assets of the enterprise.
Many businesses have signed and implemented commitments in collective labor agreements with more favorable terms for employees than those prescribed by law; taking care of housing, shift meal quality, organizing periodic health check-ups, annual vacations, Tet bonuses for employees, etc.
Honored to be recognized by the City Trade Union, Mr. Kakei Naoya, General Director of Nissei Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that this is an opportunity to further strengthen the connection between the Trade Union and business owners. At the same time, he believes that the Trade Union, especially the Company Trade Union, will continue to proactively coordinate with businesses to negotiate salary issues for employees, organize caring activities such as delicious meals, cultural activities, sports, etc., contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of employees.
