Ninh Thuan youth light up volunteer movement

On the weekend, instead of resting after a stressful week of work and study, the Youth Union of Ma Noi commune (Ninh Son) focused on supporting labor days to build a house for Mr. Pi Nang Nhong's family, Do village, Ma Noi commune (Ninh Son). Mr. Thai Van Trieu, Deputy Secretary of the Ma Noi Commune Youth Union, shared: "We feel very happy and meaningful to contribute to building a house for Mr. Nhong's family. This is not only material support but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and sharing of young people with the community." After a period of support from the Commune Youth Union, Mr. Pi Nang Nhong's family has a new, spacious house. Moved when entering his new home, Mr. Nhong shared: "Thanks to the help of organizations, especially the Youth Union, the house was completed earlier than expected. I am very happy and grateful, from now on my family will have a stable life, work with peace of mind to escape poverty."

Not only contributing to supporting working days for house construction, volunteer activities are also strongly implemented through Youth Month campaigns, "Volunteer Summer", "Volunteer Winter" with many diverse forms such as regular volunteering, on-site volunteering, and thematic volunteering. Thereby, the Youth Union has carried out many meaningful programs such as visiting, giving gifts, free medical examination and treatment, repairing houses for policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, and voluntary blood donation. In 2024, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has built many projects and youth works with a total value of billions of VND, including: Giving charity houses to Youth Union members with difficult housing conditions; giving gifts to poor students; free medical examination and medicine distribution to people; youth projects "Lighting up the countryside"; "National flag road". The Youth Union has mobilized the donation of 1,678 units of blood, contributing to meeting the treatment needs at hospitals. In Youth Month 2025 alone, more than 1,120 young people participated in effective models, from supporting 130 people to install VNeID, planting 1,290 trees, collecting 1.5m³ of waste, to donating over 7.1 million VND in response to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and giving 120 breeding chickens to poor households. In addition, the two peak periods of "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas and Green Sunday" and "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas" increased the spread with 3,170 young people participating, implementing a series of projects worth more than 629 million VND. Thereby, not only contributing to improving the urban and rural landscape but also spreading the spirit of initiative and responsibility of Ninh Thuan youth in building an increasingly civilized and modern homeland.

Comrade Ta Yen Thi Lam Hoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, shared: In order for the youth volunteer movement to achieve good results, all levels of the Youth Union, especially the grassroots level, need to strengthen direct leadership, find new methods of operation; direct the movement more specifically for each group of youth, avoid mechanical and inappropriate stereotyped direction. Improve the effectiveness and practicality of the connection between the Youth Union, the Youth Union Association and the sectors in creating mechanisms to promote the development of models and forms of volunteer activities of the youth volunteer movement...

In March, the green volunteer shirt becomes a familiar image, a symbol of youth and dedication. From the city to remote areas, each project and each volunteer work bears the mark of Ninh Thuan youth. The positive changes throughout the province are the clearest evidence of the unceasing efforts of the young generation, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
