To commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on July 26, the Provincial Youth Union organized a candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs in Yen Lap district. Attending the ceremony were representatives from provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; leaders of Yen Lap district; and a large number of officials, youth union members, and citizens.

Delegates, Youth Union members, and the people also observed a minute of silence to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the heroic martyrs.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, on behalf of the youth of the Fatherland, Comrade Bui Duc Giang - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - delivered a speech of gratitude and remembrance to the sons and daughters of the Fatherland who fought and sacrificed for the liberation of the nation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Delegates, Youth Union members, and the people also observed a minute of silence in remembrance of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the heroic martyrs.
Building on the tradition of proactive volunteerism, for the past 77 years, the youth of the Fatherland have actively promoted the "Gratitude and Remembrance" movement with many rich and practical forms such as: supporting the construction of charitable houses for policy beneficiary families; caring for and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; encouraging, visiting, and giving gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, former Youth Volunteers, and people who have contributed to the revolution; providing free medical examinations and medicine for policy beneficiary groups...

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Yen Lap district presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services in the district.

Delegates responded to the "Paying Tribute to Martyrs 2024" text messaging program, launched by the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in coordination with the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the National Humanitarian Information Portal 1400.
Also at the program, the Provincial Youth Union presented 20 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals in Yen Lap district, with a total value of 14 million VND. The candles and incense offered to the heroic martyrs today represent the promise and determination of the youth of the Fatherland to continue upholding the revolutionary traditions of their forefathers; vowing to constantly study, work, train, and contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
