Walking on the road to Kim Lien relic site, many emotions are intertwined. Joy, emotion mixed with pride and respect. Visiting Uncle Ho's hometown, everyone feels the rusticity and simplicity of the thatched house, the simple furniture, the peanut beds, the sweet potato rows or the areca rows, the green bamboo shadows rustling in the wind, listening to the story of a great son of the nation. Everyone feels like they have just met President Ho in the shadow of their homeland. The flow of people from all over the country to Uncle Ho's hometown continues endlessly.
In green military uniforms, the group of veterans from residential group 2 of Ha Huy Tap ward, Ha Tinh city, Ha Tinh province solemnly and respectfully stood before Uncle Ho's altar in a 5-room thatched-roof house. "Visiting Uncle Ho's hometown, visiting his father's village of Sen, his mother's village of Hoang Tru, visiting the place where he was born and spent his childhood, I felt very peaceful and sacred. Each relic associated with Uncle Ho's childhood is a touching story," said veteran Dang Thi Thu Thuan (born in 1965).
The veteran could not remember how many times she had visited Uncle Ho's hometown. Once she went with a group of veterans, and then she returned with her children and grandchildren. Although the scenery had hardly changed, the same humble thatched roof under the shade of the trees, the same fragrant lotus pond, the same simple, beloved mementos... but every time she returned, she felt an indescribable feeling of elation.
“Every time, just reaching the turn to Sen village, I feel nostalgic, a sense of familiarity like visiting my father. Although I have visited Uncle Ho's hometown many times, every time I set foot on this land, my heart cannot help but be moved and moved. It feels like our Uncle Ho is still around here, watching the pilgrimage footsteps of his descendants from all over. His life was simple and tolerant, but he accomplished great things,” the veteran was moved.
Having visited Uncle Ho's hometown more than 20 times, for Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Nga, former Principal of Kim Lien High School (Dong Da District, Hanoi), the feeling of nostalgia and pride is still intact. Holding a bouquet of white lilies in her hand, she respectfully offered it to him, expressing her emotion about a noble soul, a lifetime of sacrifice for national independence, for the people. She expressed her admiration for his simple, close lifestyle that generations will forever need to learn and follow.
“From this thatched roof, Uncle Ho grew up, nurtured a great ambition to find a way to liberate the nation, to make Vietnam famous. Every time I visit Uncle Ho's hometown, I feel as familiar as if I were returning to my own homeland. I hope that Kim Lien hometown in particular and Nghe An hometown in general will develop more and more as Uncle Ho always wished during his lifetime,” Ms. Tuyet Nga shared.
