On March 12, the People's Committee of Son Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said that a young man in the area was hospitalized after cutting off his own penis.

Accordingly, the incident occurred around the evening of March 9. At that time, a young man named THS, 25 years old, residing in Tan Son village, Son Hoa commune, for unknown reasons cut off his own penis.

Later, S. was discovered by his family and taken to the emergency room at Tuyen Hoa District General Hospital.

According to the hospital's leader, the young man was admitted to the hospital with about two-thirds of his penis damaged, including a severed urethra, blood vessels, and pubic vein.

S. was given initial emergency treatment by doctors here, including pain medication, temporary stitches, and hemostasis.

That same night, S. was transferred to the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Hospital for treatment. More than a day later, S. was transferred to Hue Central Hospital.
