Tu Ky handles 97 cases of violations of irrigation works

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province Bui Van Thang inspected the handling of violations of irrigation works in Tu Ky district.

On July 3, Comrade Bui Van Thang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province inspected the handling of violations of irrigation works protection in Tu Ky district.

According to the results of the violation review, Tu Ky district has 348 violations of irrigation works. Of which, 199 violations occurred before the Law on Irrigation took effect (before July 1, 2018), 142 cases arose from July 1, 2018 to December 31, 2023, and 7 new cases arose in 2024. Tu Ky district handled 97 violations. Of the newly arising violations, 3 cases voluntarily dismantled the works, while the locality is continuing to mobilize and propagate the rest.

Mr. Bui Duy Van's household in Minh Duc commune voluntarily dismantled the construction violating the protection corridor of Dinh Dao canal.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Bui Van Thang requested the People's Committee of Tu Ky district to resolutely handle violations of irrigation works according to the direction of the province. The specialized agencies of the department coordinate with the district to review and classify violations to propose appropriate handling plans, ensuring the provisions of the law and protecting the legitimate interests of the people. Bac Hung Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. needs to closely coordinate with local authorities in detecting, preventing and promptly handling violations.
