Deploying a series of projects to support ethnic minority areas in Cau Ke district

Mr. Kien Ninh - Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Tra Vinh province, together with specialized departments of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of the province, has organized inspections and supervision of the construction progress of works and projects under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas (National Target Program 1719) invested in Cau Ke district in 2024.

According to the report, in 2024, in Cau Ke district, support will be provided to 15 ethnic minority households with housing difficulties and 6 households in need of career conversion; construction of 13 rural traffic works, maintenance of 10 works of all kinds; investment in construction, renovation and upgrading of 1 ethnic minority market; support ethnic minorities to develop production according to the value chain;

Cau Ke district also consolidates and develops ethnic boarding schools and eliminates illiteracy for people; develops vocational education and creates jobs for ethnic minority workers... In the first 6 months of 2024, the district has disbursed 9,032/34,980 billion VND, reaching 25.82% of the capital plan.

Through the inspection and supervision work, Mr. Kien Ninh highly appreciated the attention and direction of the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee and the determination, efforts and attempts of the People's Committees of the communes in the work of accelerating the implementation of the National Target Program 1719 in 2024.

In the coming time, Mr. Kien Ninh suggested that the People's Committees at the commune level need to continue reviewing the new beneficiaries arising in 2024 under Project 1 of the Program, ensuring the correct beneficiaries, full policies, no omissions and no duplication of policies, ensuring that people enjoy full policies according to regulations.

Mr. Kien Ninh suggested that Cau Ke district should do a good job of communication, propaganda and mobilization in ethnic minority areas. At the same time, it should implement the information and reporting regime well and pay attention to the inspection and supervision of the implementation of the National Target Program 1719.
