Premiere of documentary 'Under the canopy of Ngoc Linh forest'

The People's Committee of Nam Tra My district (Quang Nam) has just organized a screening of the documentary "Under the canopy of Ngoc Linh forest".

The premiere was held on the evening of April 1, at the Ngoc Linh ginseng market (Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam). This is a film filmed and edited by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio in collaboration with the People's Committee of Nam Tra My district, aiming to recreate the story of the origin, development process as well as the value of Ngoc Linh ginseng - formerly a "hidden medicinal plant" of the Xo Dang ethnic group.

The film's content recreates the process of discovering and preserving rare ginseng on Ngoc Linh mountain by local people. Along with that is the process of researching the value of this plant; the difficulties in conservation and development to achieve the results as today. Many interesting details, characters associated with the stages are vividly recreated by the filmmakers.

Watching the film, viewers not only understand the precious medicinal and economic value of Ngoc Linh ginseng, but also the hardships of dedicated people, pioneers in the conservation and development of this precious ginseng, worthy of the title "national treasure".
