This afternoon, July 22, the Department of Health coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) Quang Tri branch to organize a conference to deploy the project of installing smart medical KIOSK to promote digital transformation of health in public health facilities based on the application of population data, citizen identification, identification and electronic authentication nationwide.

This project is associated with the tasks of the Project "Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" (Project 06).
To implement Project 06 in ministries, branches and localities in 2024 and the following years, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (QLHC on TTXH) assigned the Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification and HDBank to implement the program of free smart medical KIOSK for medical facilities nationwide.
The project's goal is to deploy at least 1,001 smart medical KIOSKs for public health facilities aiming at cashless payments, medical credit loans for people, advances, hospital fee refunds, and medical examination and treatment costs associated with electronic health books.
At the program, the Provincial Department of Health and HDBank Quang Tri branch signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the project to install smart medical KIOSK.
Accordingly, HDBank Quang Tri sponsored the installation of the KIOSK system and put it into operation, ensuring the requirements under Project 06, including investment costs, maintenance of the smart KIOSK system, identification costs and electronic authentication of chip-embedded citizen identification cards for patients, collection costs, account management, infrastructure costs and 24/7 technical system operation...
HDBank will waive 100% of investment, operation, maintenance and repair costs for medical facilities within 5 years. Implement security, safety of systems, data, and regulations on personal data protection.
Phase 1, implemented in 2024, will survey and install 2 smart medical KIOSKs at Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital and Vinh Linh Regional General Hospital. Phase 2 in 2025 will expand the deployment to the remaining medical facilities in the province.
